Fazio is plan B after MM (who in't happening seemingly due to money and the player not pushing too hard imo) as we need a senior player to organize the defense, and if Dawson or Kaboul goes. Another young CB would be a mistake no matter how promising. (if Kaboul gets Crocked/goes Verts is our only grown up CB)

If Vlad is off (no idea why - ask Levy/Poch/Dorris) then we get another young CB (Umtiti?)

As for MS how the hell can we fit in another senior midfielder? I don't think there is a queue for Paulino or Dembele even if they were for sale. We could sell Benteleb/Holtby/Capoue but do we want too? I think it was Sandro out/MS in and that's it.

My onion is that even if Sandro goes then we keep what we've got in the middle - Poch wants MS so why get anyone else - also too many players with too much to prove

Laughed at the teletext saying we were after Remy for £11m. Didn't Pool agree an £8m fee with them before it fell through?

The answer to this is that Remy had a clause that said he could leave if a CL qualified club came in with an offer of £8m. If anyone else comes in then it's market value which they've set at £11m (at the moment). (y)

Aww. You actually believe them. How cute. You must not know how transfer windows work. Let me help you.

Do. Not. Believe. Anything. Until. The. Transfer. Window. Closes.
Hope you're right. Just think Southampton will lose too much rep and RK will have been made to look a right Wally, RK sounds like someone who really is sure MS is staying. I have been around for a fair few windows and can't see this happening but again hope you're right

You actually think Fazio would come to Spurs and organize the defense?? Someone who doesn't speak a word of english, coming to a new league, who only become a regular starter last season at 26?? The "Sevilla captain" thing is being overrated. Last season Rakitic was the captain of Sevilla, and now it's been said that he was going to get the armband due to being the longest server of the club (8 years).

I did predict yesterday that something 'left field' would happen. Looks like it could. Are we now all getting excited over new defenders now? My biggest concern actually is they would have no PL experience. It looks like Kaboul would need to stay, otherwise we could potentially only have Verts with this type of experience at CH (allowing Dawson) left. Not ideal imo.

Maybe Levy gave Poch the option of going to his Plan B at CB (Fazio over MM) and using the extra funds that we saved getting Fazio to push the MS deal over the line. I think its been said that MS is Poch's #1 target.

There are loads of figures at the club who speak better Spanish than English at the moment.

I am getting the impression you don't rate or want Fazio. Largely because you've been all over this thread, his player thread and naturally the musacchio thread berating anyone with a positive word to say about the guy.
Personally, I like the sound of an aggressive and intelligent defender alongside vertonghen - maybe it will even motivate him.
Also amuses me that levy gets criticised for not pursuing players poch wants, or having a plan b if they aren't possible - this guy seems to tick both boxes, but still so much MOANING.

Moaning? You sound shocked? Sure you're on the right forum? This is a Spurs forum. S. P. U. R. S. Spurs. It's our job to moan! ;)

Who let this one in...

Moan, moan, moan.

Yes, I don't want Fazio. And I didn't berate anyone. I pointed out things several are assuming from Fazio without even seen him play. Several pointed out the strength and air dominance, and I have nothing to say about that because its right. But other things are just wrong. Why do I have to agree with every singing we make? I'm also not one of the persons who criticizes Levy for not supporting the manager. I honestly prefer we don't sign anyone instead of accumulating mediocre players. I also don't get this carte blanche to the manager that several seem to give. I didn't see this kind of acceptance to signings when Arry signed Saha and Nelsen.

Ok, ok just please stop berating me.

You don't have to agree with every signing. at what stage will you think you've made your point and are repeating yourself though?

Mate, have you heard Walker speak? I think Soldado, Lamela and the like will understand him better than the English lot! :p

He's not John from London is he?
No wonder he's not been seen in ages he's in bloody Iraq, (looks slowly over shoulder).
