My thousandth post so make of it what you will.

I'm very happy with our window so far!
We've had lots of outs and some more to go.
Strengthened our defence and have Pritchard and Alli to add creativity up the field.

If we cannot buy quality for our remaining areas needing improvement then so be it.

I would much rather wait until January for the right quality player or even next summer than have the merry-go-round of having to shift more deadwood to make room for that quality .
I'd agree with that, except that all of this was said, literally, last summer.

To quote one of my favourite songs, "someday never comes." We desperately need additions this year.

So my post was unpopular. We are competing against five teams who are already strong and/or strengthening. However optimistic we want to be or confident in the talents of Mauricio or negotiating talents of Daniel Levy etc, we aren't competing for the most in demand talent or doing much at all in comparison with those clubs. Are they waiting to get rid of deadwood before buying? No.

Dislike away all you wishful thinkers.

Since you highlighted your initial post, I figured I'd do you a solid and add another disagree vote.

You're welcome!

It might possibly have something to do with our financial situation vs. theirs. Or?

Posts like these really piss me off. We all know Soldado hasn't been a success. We all want our strikers to score. We all want players who can perform the job we bought them to do.

What we also want is a squad that is bonded. We want players with good attitudes who are happy to work hard, continue learning and play their part in the squad. By all accounts Soldado is just such a player, is popular within the squad and doesn't cause problems. If he ends up being third choice striker I don't have a problem with his inclusion, especially as we know the guy has quality. Rather have him as third choice than an Ade type as first, goals or no goals.

At £60k a week I'd prefer to see him off the books with a striker in who can score and a fast technically good WF in - both for only a little more wages than Soldado gets.

Jasper on SO has translated his post (y)

I think he is talking about KM to Wet Spam

Everton want too much, way excessive for KM. convincing the player to go there is another thing.

Lol guys. Friggin iPhone auto predict. Foes my head in. Sure it's dyslexic. Probably spelt wrong

We've all been bitten too many times by that particular bug.

I think every year there is talk about an 'exciting' player we're linked with. And more often than not we end up signing Gregorzs Rasiak.

In fairness this year we haven't really had a sustained link to a truly exciting player so why not this year. History shows we do get one every 3-4 years.

I think that most Tottenham fans wouldn't be too bothered or disappointed over which two players are part of the
outgoing trio as long as Ade is definitely the third one.

There's going to be a loud sigh of relief and adulation all around WHL when Ade leaves.

I hope someone has got the fireworks on stand-by.

It's my 26th birthday today and the encouraging itk has made it an even better day today.

Thanks to all the members that dig out the itk from other forums, and thanks to the individuals that are happy to pass on their info!!

I agree entirely. Its absolutely ridiculous how this rigid zero net spend policy is allowed to stultify our transfers. Its a massive handicap that NO OTHER prem club has to cope with.
