Have I missed something or is Josh Onomah not in that list...???

Is it because he's young/development and doesn't need to be listed? or something like that?

He's been missing all season. I think the CMS monkey just lost him between the academy and first team sections.

"Everyone knows teams just don't want to sell their players in the January window > everyone knows it's difficult to buy decent players in a major tournament season > everyone knows people don't move clubs until they've come back from holiday > everyone knows Daniel likes a last minute bargain..."

Checking the BBC goal stats for this season, we have 11 goal scorers, besides Kane, who have weighed in with 28 goals in the league, with Kane providing 13.
Citeh have a similar return with Aguero weighing in with 12.
Leicester are heavily reliant on Vardy and Mehrez, with 13 others weighing in with 13 goals.
The goons have Giroud on 12 with the rest weighing in with 23.

Virtually every club is heavily reliant on one main goal scorer with support. The difference is that we have support players providing more goal threat than any other team in the league, those at the top end anyway.

We score goals from all areas of the pitch, with many of those scorers in their first season with us.

It would be beneficial if you lot losing the plot over a striker not being signed, could apply a little more logic and a little less emotion.
So what you are saying is that despite our only forward Kane scoring almost half of our goal tally so far, it won't make a difference to our challenge for top 4 if he gets injured? Looking at those stats, I would have thought scoring only half as much in the rest of the season will see us drop to mid table.

Does this assume that any direct replacement doesn't score any goals at all?

It's actually less than a third of our tally, but I suppose that should be ignored as it's fact rather than emotion.

Let's also ignore the fact that the other goals have been spread throughout the team, meaning that we offer a widespread goal threat, rather than an over reliance on one or two individuals performing at peak. Did I mention that Vardy and Mahrez have 3 times as many goals between them as the rest of their team put together?

You keep twisting your knickers with imagined doom scenarios though sweetheart, it obviously works for you...

Hang on...

I think the point being made, was that it will be the same for all the other teams around us, if their star-striker/top scorer gets injured...

Also, Kane has scored 13 of our 41 goals. That isnt nearly half, well, i suppose thats down to what you see as 'nearly'.

Well, in part M&D. It was more to highlight the fact, and it really is a dyed in the Wool fact, that we don't have an over reliance on Kane to win us games. His is the largest single contribution to the scoring charts, but the ratio isn't anywhere near what some overly emotional types would have you believe.
It was posted on another thread (can't remember which or the poster, so apologies) that we won something like 3 out of the 4 games Kane didn't play/start in with a +5 GD to boot and some fluid attacking movement that really was lovely to watch.

Kane would definitely be missed were we to lose him. I'll even say that I too was disappointed that we didn't secure another striker (I still think Berahino is the right choice) but I'm not whining like a bitch because the framework to continue scoring is there and factually evident.

I've said it in a number of previous windows and I'll say it again, this place is stuffed full of Veruka Salt's!

I miss the days when the ITK's used to come in here & explain how close we were to this & that & how DL tried his darnest to buy "Dave" or whoever & calm us down with terms such as "don't worry we've got this" & "don't be a ****"
*sigh

Anyway with the thread descending into darkness (and Insomnia even posting pictures), I thought I'd announce that Charlton managed to sign 'Rod Fanni' yesterday. Indeed we've had a few fannies playing for us in the past!

Even though we didn't get anyone, I'm pretty confident we'll be able to get one of Berahino or Dembélé mk2 in the next window - the ITKs seemed pretty confident Moussa especially. I personally think that Chadli, Son and Clinton can handle filling in at striker, and we might as well take Chadli's good form whilst we have it.

Another reason I'm pleased is that we kept Eriksen, and I don't want to count my chickens yet, but if you check my sig, you'll be able to find proof of a promise a certain someone made a little under 2 years ago. I can recommend a good artist if needed! (y)
