Great to hear that Fryers is done - another one for the talent pipeline. Let's hope we can build on his potential now

The daily "there is f-all currently and cue manic panic and stoof=hulk you won't like it when I'm angry in SC" ITK discussion thread.

Fixed.

Is Fryers actually done? I thought the tribunal wasn't yet? (Probably missed this last night).

I think he is done the tribunal will decide how much development compensation we have to pay.

Strange one maybe gentlemans agreement between the clubs pending the compo has allowed him to train? Nothing official on our site probably means he's not registered yet?

From what I understand, Fryers has signed for us. He was out of contract with utd and thus able to put pen to paper with whoever he likes. However, due to his age united are owed a deveolopment fee. This will be decided by tribunual. No,idea as to when that may be though.

So yes and no!

Fryers contract expired in June so he was technically a free agent and allowed to sign with any club that he wanted. He turned down man utd and accepted our contract offer.

Man utd will be awarded compensation at a later date pending the result of the tribunal.

The theory was that Carvalho would be employed mostly as a coaching assistant and only play in the event of most of our other CBs falling under a bus.

Do we have to wait for the tribunal then to officially* announce Fryers?

* = I apologise if the use of the word 'officially' offends anyone.

Agree, and as he has signed, the figure from the tribunal is final, neither side can back out.

I thought that the tribunal set the fee. It was a non negotiable thing where both clubs just have to accept the outcome rather than being able to walk away from the deal. As others have said, he is out of contract and can therefore by right sign with whom he wants to as anything else could be considered a restriction of trade and Man Utd would have to keep paying his wage until it was resolved.

Morning all lets hope today brings positive vibes back to us spurs fans as some of us seemed to haved slipped back into the world of doom and gloom! Some quality ITK to read & discuss will no doubt cheer a few up after the last few days of almost misery!!

That was the chat last night, tho I'm not sure why. If he has signed, he's signed.(y)

No offence taken. This time. ;)

'You know, Danny, there's a lot more going on in Hull than people think.'
Coming from Leeds (?), he probably know more about Hull than we do to be honest.

Hope DR (edit - force of habit had me putting DL! :D ) has a good Olympics.
