6 out has to be Alderweireld, Dembele, Nkoudou, Janssen, Llorente with one of either Sissoko or Onomah/Rose being the other

3 ins I'm guessing are. CB, CM & AM/Backup forward or 2 CM with a hybrid AM/Foward type player if those rumoured out ends up happening. If Rose goes we'll have to be looking at a new LB as well.

I'm hoping Toby & Dembele stay if adequate replacements aren't found and those first out of the door to free up space are Janssen, Llorente & Nkoudou

happy that rose is not on the out list!!!!!

edwards, he just seems like a little sh*te , regardless of his talent give him a "woops ups side his head " and if still behaves like that toss then him to the heap

I read the maximising ITK as trying to get the best possible deals rather than dependent on it. Especially if we're working with previous ITK that we do have the money

Maximising still means a lot more focus will need to go on outgoings between now and deadline day than is ideal, regardless of the financial impact on incomings.

3 in is pretty much exactly what we need, so I'm pleased. Get in Grealish, a CM and a versatile forward and we're good to go with a quality, deep squad with no real weaknesses imo.

While 6 out is perhaps 1 or 2 more than i was expecting, but when you list the players that could possibly go it makes a lot more sense.

Don't think any of us are in a position to judge his character from afar.

mines based on all the info weve heard from him via people close to the club and itk comments about him and his situation, period of a couple of years now and the new ITK is pretty much of the same note / tone again about him

Thanks for all the ITK info guys. Hopefully the 3 we can bring in are Grealish, Martial and Pavard, they would be fantastic additions

I agree but that window still wouldn't fix our biggest problems in midfield.

Interesting info, but I’d have thought that if we’re shipping 6 out, including Toby, Llorente and Dembele, then we’d need at least 4 in. Grealish plus CB, CM and a forward.

If Edwards doesnt go on the tour i guess its fair to say hes done here, he managed to make it on the asia tour a couple of years ago.

Ali said a MINIMUM of 6 out and 3 in ... so it could also be 4 in i guess

Yeah I saw. But if we do meet that minimum only, and sell 6 and bring in 3, then I don’t really see that that works.

Toby out, we need a CB.

Dembele out, we need a CM.

Llorente and Janssen out, we need a forward.

Presumably the other two are N’Koudou and Sissoko.

We know we are trying for Grealish, so if it’s just him and two others then that leaves us pretty short in one position.

I would be pretty surprised to see four high quality (and I do count Grealish as high quality) signings in what is now 3 weeks, but you never know.

It does feel like a huge amount to do in a very short period of time, but if there's a bit more money splashing around this time, and with a longer period to sell than to buy, it will be interesting to see if Levy actually does take the risk of buying before selling.

As ever I live in hope that we'll see some significant net-spend this window. As ever I look to the past and would therefore be surprised if that materialises.

Whether you love Sissoko or not he had a lot of minutes last season. If he is off as well as Dembele it would suggest to me that we need 2 midfield players (Grealish being one). Maybe someone is being promoted up the ranks? I know we were hit with injuries in the middle of the park, especially Winks and Wanyama, but we could have that sort of problem again so would seem silly to have one less player in that area

Good to see the positive info from Ali Z.

The 6 out worries me however. I read a piece earlier today about the new deadlines, and they had sources saying it was making things very difficult for PL clubs (along with the World Cup).

European clubs are being very savvy with this opportunity. They are waiting until the PL window closes to buy players as it should lead to more realistic prices. They also know some PL clubs will have to ship out unwanted players after they have already brought replacements in, which is a very poor negotiating position. Makes perfect sense and does worry me as this will surely be a major issue for someone like Levy.

I think the Toby and Dembele deals are the key however, they are the big money ones. I'd imagine with the other deadwood we'll try and get deals done but might have to abandon them to focus on incomings if nothing is close.

If maximising income from the likes of Sissoko, N'Koudou, Janssen, Llorente has any bearing on the quality of our incomings I think we are bang in trouble.

which bit are you classing as positive?
The six leaving are only positive if we replace with better
No Gomes or Barrios.......ok fine as long as we get others
We have money to spend and closing in on deals.........we have heard this sort of thing before. Levy maximising deals might mean they don't happen if he mucks other clubs about
Edwards in the last chance saloon..........only positive if he responds to this and applier himself

Rose staying is positive but i think we need more than that!
