In all fairness, there have been similar situations on this very board mate - ITK is massively entertaining, but there are so many variables that you cannot rely upon it. Them being convinced of it doesn't mean anything.

I'm fully aware of the legendary 'nearly' signings that we've failed to pull off, but this one has a different feel to it to me. It's not just the ITK's that are heralding his arrival in scouseland, but info is seeping out from other sources that suggest we MAY have missed out on this one.

Obviously I'm hoping that it's not gone that far, but I'm just using all information out there available to me to make an (relatively) informed guess on the situation.

Pretty much the same here, guess its a spurs thing :grin: And now that you mention it, i have a problem that comes up every transfer window but i forget it as soon as the window is closed. I know there is a scitk newsfeed and i want to install it somehow on my iphone so that i get a push notification as soon as there is new itk? anybody got an app for that? would save me alot of time instead of sitting the whole day infront of the pc and pushing the f5 button...

for what we need, I think so all of our strikers are getting up there in age.......I'll be shocked if we offer anything above 10 million for him.....its just not a Levy type deal to me, no sell on value and we've been trying to get him since 2008. I just cant see this move happening, now if there are targets we want and we miss out on all of them then I guess he'll be the best available.

For a big money signing, very much so.

You'd have to take into account the time it would take for him to settle and if at 30 he really has the desire to do well here? Brazilians don't seem to stick around very long either, after he turned us down in the summer there's no way we should be going back in again .. there's a reason he can't get a regular starting place in Sevilla's side afterall.

We need to be targetting young hungry players, not filling the squad with 30+'ers looking for one last pay day(something Fabiano has even said himself)
