As I mentioned we passed on Ramsey this week due to finances but the board now feel we are light in midfield and. Are open to bringing someone in

we can debate Tanguy all day but he is staying due to the fact no one will pay anywhere near what he paid so everyone involved ie jose , dL , tn that we should try and make a go of it but can
he last 90 mins and play 3 times a week , who knows , so the post is accurate , we are a glc inj from disaster
those saying ings won’t come are wrong , we pay the 45-50 he comes

It’s very interesting that the one in, one out balancing the books approach seems to have switched to a more proactive spending ethos- I wonder where the money has been found

As long as the striker and creative central mid are forefront of plans then that's a good update to get.

Edit: not attacking - creative

Can’t disagree with the need for a creative mid. Can’t rely on GLC all season and hope TN comes go. No point having a front line like ours if we can’t get the damn ball to them. Hope DL and team pull something out the hat.

I am pretty sure he meant "if we pay the 45-50" meaning the player wouldn't block it, and that's a huge/doubtful if

Id be shocked if we sign another CM along with a striker and CB. Not signing 8 in one window without a massive clear out.

That’s where our problem lies, desperately need another creative midfielder to compliment NDom and LoCelso. Thought Dele could do it but he is way off from where he was 2 years ago. I think a lot of people underestimated Eriksen and we really need someone similar to supply the ammunition to B K S.

If we splash out 50m for a striker i am not sure my choice would be Ings...

But really doubt we do. Would be positivley shocked if it will be a 25m signing

Has it though. We know we’ve got Bale and Reguilon in, but I would imagine further spending may require sales first. If for nothing else other than squad places etc.

Also Prof/Galahad confirming that his cryptic yesterday was in relation to us getting an influx of money, as someone posted:

"makes me wonder if money is coming in from somewhere to cover this (Ings)"

To which Prof replied:

"If only Galahad had given us a clue ....", and then specifically quoted a post by another member:

"Given this weird feeling I have (thanks Galahad) this might just be a time when we are going a bit more all in than ENIC have traditionally done."

Surely any player on the pitch can tell Lo Celso how nice his hair is and notice how much weight Ndombele has lost, not just a creative midfielder?

Che Adams showed great form after restart but Southampton would risk relegation if they sell Ings, plus comments from his coach, no chance that one IMO. Plus there are cheaper and better options anyway.
