Morning mamalukes

So........Today could be one of the good days in Spurs transfers. We cross our fingers and hope.

Meanwhile lets keep this thread clear for any actual ITK we get today, any talk about earlier stuff can go in the player threads until things start moving.

Last night I got a call from the Police to tell me Mrs A&C was in hospital.

"How is she?" I asked.

"Very critical," replied the officer.

So I asked........"What's she fucking complaining about now?"

"Keep this thread clear for any actual ITK".

Scrolls down to find a random bunch of posts.

Come on guys, not difficult, threads will be busy enough today, keep it relevant.

Galahad on COYS in response to someone asking if more signings were coming:

That’s exactly what Galahad has been told. The most interesting part of the info he sent through this morning was the surprising cause sine qua non.

For those (like me) who had to google the term:

"In legal matters, "but-for", "sine qua non", causa sine qua non, or "cause-in-fact" causation, or condicio sine qua non, is a circumstance in which a certain act is a material cause of a certain injury or wrongdoing, without which the injury would not have occurred"

Nope, I'm still none the wiser

I'm assuming it means that the reason or event that has led to us looking for more signings is surprising.

Wiki says:

conditio sine qua non (plural: condiciones sine quibus non) is an indispensable and essential action, condition, or ingredient.

So basically the club think more signings are essential. Promises to Bale?

It means the 'effective cause of a given event', so we're spending money as a result of something happening. Maybe they finally found the log in code for the overdraft, maybe Levy got his cataracts done and has seen the struggles on the pitch finally or maybe something is happening with ENIC as hinted at. Don't know and won't guess but good to know the squad is getting the overhaul it has needed.

Maybe a takeover and money being spent before other clubs know we are loaded with cash?
There is no way that a business would spend a metric shit ton of cash with zero guarantees that company/person X would complete a takeover and there can't be a guarantee because the FPP test outcome is not within the clubs control

Or someone has handed in a transfer request (or more than one player). That would be more surprising. A promise to Bale doesn't fit so well.
