Can't see us paying what it'll take to get AWB. He'll end up going for Kyle Walker money if he leaves this summer.

People always seem to forget how much we paid for Sanchez. We’ve shown we are willing to splash £40m+ on players. From what is being said, I’d say it’s more of a case of if we can compete with other clubs for his signature than wether we are willing to pay what palace want.

Because Spurs would like to recoup some cash to put towards a replacement? If United come along and say £15m or nothing. Take it or leave it now and we know he will go in 12 months time then a serious discussion will take place. Only onions of course.

15m doesn't buy a Toby replacement, you'll have to add an additional 40-50m. If he wants to run his contract down, I'd let him, we get him for 1 more year and no need to worry about CB, he'll also be 31/32 this time next year and will probably not get that big pay day he's looking for.

Update from Ali Z COYS:

Just a small update, not all of the info is recent but posting what I know as out of the country for at least 3 weeks.

Poch wants a minimum of 4 in, 6 if Eriksen and Toby go. Names I know we really keen on are Ndombele who we have tried for before, Sessegnon and Wan Bissaka, my info first 2 looks doable. I don't know of any others we are keen on, don't mean we are not btw.

Toby likely to go this summer has no interest in the deal offered £165k including bonuses pw, may run down his deal. Erkisen will go to Spain if the price we want is agreed if he doesn't every chance a deal can be agreed. Trippier has plenty of suitors, don't be surprised if he is one of Ole's new guard.

We have a list of players we want out and a list that we will sell for the right price told to expect a decent net spend as Levy know this summer he has to deliver. That's all I got.

Let’s hope we aren’t asking stupid prices for players then, like last season, else we won’t be selling anyone

That was an exciting little flurry of ITK to come home to.
I am genuinely excited that we could be picking up N'Dombele (although rags report our opening bid is a 'lowly' £31m! Lyon want towards £70 apparently :-/)
AND even better, Palace would sell AWB if an acceptable bid comes in. That's the one for me. I hope we can stretch the pennies, especially if we've had tabs on him for the last five years.

But he would because the transfer fee would become a huge upfront signing on fee!

Business is business. It will be what the best deal is for the club coupled with what alternatives present themselves. I’m sure every eventuality will have been covered in any case. Edit - and I didn’t suggest 15m would buy you a replacement (y)

Possibly, but that's not our concern.

He could do his hamstring again or pick up another serious injury, it's risky for a player his age going into the final year of his contract. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up signing the contract on offer.

If we're convinced that Wan Bissaka is the real deal, then £45-50m isn't unrealistic. He could be our RB for the next 10 years and even if he did fail to hit his Palace levels with us, being young and English, he'll have good resale value anyway.

That said, haven't we heard from various sources over the years that Poch has a real hard-on for Zaha? If that's true it wouldn't surprise me if that's the deal he'd rather do with Palace (albeit not at the crazy fees currently being discussed).

Bringing in Ndombele would be a real statement of intent and would dramatically improve not just our squad but our first 11, which is something we've all been asking for, for what feels like ages.

You've got to give some consideration to Toby's words.

'My only focus is Spurs,' Alderweireld said. 'Because of this focus, I think I had a good season as well. I have one year left on my contract, so in my head, I will play for Spurs next season.'

He can refuse to go even if his release clause is activated and then fuck off to China for a massive fat 3-year contract.

But the ITK led us to believe he won't sign the contract on offer. I must admit I'd be ok if he let his contract run down as his presence has been invaluable this year and financially beneficial with CL qualification for example so him being here next year may be worth the £25 million again anyway.

Would be a crazy good summer if we could add Sessegnon, Wan-bissaka, N’Dombele and Lo Celso.

Sign up Eriksen and it’s party time

I could be misinterpreting but I assumed Lo Celso was if Eriksen left. If Eriksen resigns, which the ITK alludes to, I don't think we go for Lo Celso. Could be wrong tho.

I get the impression we're not just replacing like for like but are going all out to improve by bringing players in irrespective of who goes or doesn't, I may be deluded old romantic but I honestly believe this window isgonna be different, its going to make a statement.

Given the squad's current state and both Poch and the players' very public comments on the situation, I think we'd be practically guaranteed to LOSE money in the long run if we don't seriously reinvest this summer. The opportunity cost would be huge if we lost Poch by not supporting him in the market.

The flip side to that is that if Toby stays for one more year and we go deep in the CL again, with a serious title challenge, the returns may be seen as a viable offset to the lost fee, particularly if it’s thought that that additional year is beneficial to both Foyth and Sanchez maturing further.

Surprised if Toby is turning his nose up at 165k contract. That in itself is costing him over 100k per week and it goes back a long way too. I can't see him being offered anything that compensates for that amount of loss, and all the time he says he's happy here. Very odd.
