AWB if he leaves Palace will be on the radar of probably every club in the top 6 - would be difficult to get him I reckon.

Sessegnon you would think we would be in with a great chance given our interest last year.

NDombele - also I'd be surprised if we managed to get him.

Lo Celso - looks likely as it appears we are moving relatively quickly to try and get him.

Still hoping Eriksen and Toby will stay but glad to hear if they go we will actively try and replace them.

Be surprised if we got WB but he did say our stadium is best he's played in, I just find the negotiation aspect of that deal a bit too difficult.

There is without question a lot more to be optimistic about this window. The club is a far more attractive proposition than it has been in the past. Players and agents seem far keener to commit earlier than they have in previous windows where we have been a back up option to a number of players, had their preferential moves fell through.

Can't see us paying what it'll take to get AWB. He'll end up going for Kyle Walker money if he leaves this summer.

It’s just whether the top players will come to us, as we still don’t offer the crazy wages that other teams throw at players

Even if we are prepared to spend the money on transfer fees, it will still be very difficult to get more than a couple of our first choices in. There will be so much competition and, ultimately, we will lose out on wages and agents fees to bigger clubs. I expect Sessegnon to be the most likely, after that I wouldn't hold my breath on any of the names being bandied about whether we are bidding or not. I also don't think we can go into another season with just one creative midfielder again. It was underestimated just how much football Eriksen played last season ,including internationals ,and we had absolutely no alternative. We need to put this right. I am sure we have a list for each position and will gradually work our way down but it won't be easy getting any deals over the line for in contract players. We also need to address the HG balance in the squad and premier league teams have no wish or need to let their best players go( eg Brooks, Maddison).

It's a shame we didn't go in before he got really bloody good then really! We've said that a lot in the last 18 months

The problem is that if we buy all these young potential players when will they ever get a game? Any young player who wants game time is crazy to join a top side and sit on their rears not progressing. WB is now proven in the PL so becomes a more legit first team target

We would pay what they want, if we saw there was a chance. Now let’s be sensible before sarcasm steps in because i said ‘pay whatever they want’. Common sense should comprehend what I am trying to say.

My word, anxious AF for the final this weekend, and now excited AF for the potential transfers.

My brain doesn't know if it should be releasing dopamine or cortisol:ROFLMAO:

Why not both?

Fantastic news, fair play to Poch for sticking to his guns and keeping us lean by not adding filler players making it much easier to add these players to our squad.

Of course for Poch it was easier as most of us were blaming Levy and calling him a tight **** for not signing those filler players:LOL:

Makes sense as there is no World Cup, Euros or something else to help hike up values

yup, this is the underlying fact that we need to remember. The money is there and if the player is available and wants to come, whatever player it is, we'll pay.

Would love if Eriksen signed a new contract (I'm guess that's what he means by "if he doesn't every chance a deal can be agreed"), but I don't see why he'd sign a new contract if he has his heart set on Spain. I guess there's always the possibility that Real would rather a Galactico.

After the CL final, one or two early transfers in (first teamers, in best case Sess and N'Dombele/Lo Celso) would calm me down a lot.
It sounds positive, it makes sense, but we were at these points again, again and again. So I wait first to see something get delivered before I get excited.

Because real look to be buying pogba and hazard. Pogba was zidanes choice, eriksen perez. Looks like zidane won the battle.
