Go for plan B first?!! Never heard of anything so stupid before....and I've been reading this forum for a while!

No. Always ALWAYS go for plan A. Just make sure plan A has the right research and planning. But that IS why they are plan fucking A!
Schneiderlin is not good enough to keep us waiting

Compared to the rest of our centre midfielders, he really is.

We are not comparing him to our other CMs though. We are comparing him to CMs at other clubs who might be willing to sign for us now but will take other offers if we mess about waiting for Arsenal and Man U to decide whether they want MS or not.

MS is a good player but he's not outstanding and he certainly isn't unique. I'd rather take 2nd choice now than 5th choice later. It's also a good policy for the future to let it be known that we aren't willing to wait around at the tradesman's entrance like starving dogs waiting for a few cheap scraps from the big boy's tables.

I'd like to be wrong but I can't help the feeling that Imbula would become another Stambouli.

He could very well be with just 2 more consonants and a vowel.....

I don't know whether anyone (at the club for example) has considered this but one thing I would be very mindful of is which footed these CM's are.

Schniederlin and Kramer are both predominantly right footed, which would make them a bit more symbiotic with Bentaleb (left) in a CM2. Imbula is a leftie, so less harmonious if paired with Bentaleb.

I know it's not a hard and fast rule and two the same can work, I just think, as with CB's, especially when playing in a "2" it helps the blend.

I've donated the £50 I promised. Now mention to Levy I would like MS and Martial. Will definitely donate more if we get these two.

If you could add Tevez to that request I really would be a happy man

With the reported fee for Imbula I don't see why we can't throw several extra million at Southampton or Leverkusen as Schneiderlin is a proven and has performed exceptionally well in the premier league, whilst Kramer is a young German international and has performed very well at Monchengladbach in arguably the 2nd toughest league in the world. Whereas Imbula looks a cross between Zokora and Paulinho and is potentially a €18-25m disaster. Spending circa €30m on Schneiderlin or €20-25m on Kramer is much safer than spunking a huge sum on someone who plays in a pretty poor league.

Ligue 1 is a "pretty poor league"? They produce more domestic talent than the EPL does. And they've got an abundance of talent coming through.
In this league plays some of the players Spurs fans are most keen to sign if they could (Kondogbia, Imbula, Rabiot, Martial Fekir, Thauvin.)

agreed and it was evident in the champions league that the premier league was lacking that something when le arse and chavs both got knocked out by two French sides.
sometimes we're all too guilty of believing in the premier leagues hype.

In order to help raise funds for Spurs Community, one of our members, who wishes to remain ananymous has offered us TWO tickets for the Secret Cinema Star Wars event this Friday 19th June in London.

These tickets are PDF Documents which have a bar code on which presumably they'll scan on entry and they cost £78 each so £156 for the pair.

OR A VERY NEAR OFFER WOULD BE NICE

Anyone interested please PM me as quickly as possible, details of the exact location will be sent along with an e-mail containing the tickets.

Thanks!

And a massive thank you to the donator for his generosity.

For those of you who don't venture to the darker regions of the site why not check out our Royal Ascot tipping contest?

You might have missed a couple of races but the regular participants couldn't pick their noses much less a winner.

Bet it's a trap and the minute you pop up in there he will be stood there tapping his foot like a wife muttering something about oh you have the money to gamble do you but not donate
