Tell Daily fail to fak off with their drivel about Bournemouth want 30m! BULLSHIT!!! His condition right now; lucky if someone pays 15m with loads of faking clauses! BULLSHIT Journalism! Yeh! I said it! Daily Fail-My arse with their crap
I think it’s getting increasingly clear these days what journos to look out for regarding Tottenham and who just spouts rubbish.

@ONLYONESTOPS you might want to read the rules of this section you’re posting in. I realise you’re new here but just giving you a heads up, you’ll only get yourself banned. It’s pretty surprising you’re still here tbh. :D

Edit: Too late. A&C has arrived.:sour:

If Wilson’s knees are held together by sticky tape and blue tac... why are we even contemplating signing him ?
Cheap, temporary and decent enough to come in a do a good job for the next couple of years, I guess.

A lot may depend on how highly we rate Parrott as well, because Kane will want to be playing every game.

15mil or so sounds absolutely great business for Wilson. Plus Herc isn't saying Wilson is crocked, he's played the last two full seasons and is a good player. But you just don't get full value for players with his injury past, simple as that. He's healthy now, just has a history, but in pandemic times with limited money those are exactly the types of smart gambles we should be taking.

The ITK about a balanced squad reminds me of Mourinho at Porto in his first summer window. Its easy to forget what he did there before the moneybags clubs, identify good dependable players to improve and balance the squad. If we can achieve anything of what that side did we would be happy well I would be.

While Wilson has had injury issues, maybe it won't be so bad with us if he's not playing every game like he was at Bournemouth? Gives his body a chance to rest.
...Or his body completely fails and we're stuck with two injured strikers, but I think it's worth the punt.

Latest ITK suggesting that JM is working well within the constraints Levy has set.

Should be music to our ears as I always felt we were missing opportunities recently in terms of adding strength, depth and generally rejuvenating the squad.

Its more than just rebalancing and improving the squad from a playing perspective.

He's clearly trying to improve the mentality. Winners, leaders and experience is a very healthy looking combination and that certainly appears to be on his radar.

Not sure what due dilligence we can be doing on Wilson's medical history without having him in for a medical, in which case we have to strike a deal with Bournemouth. Sounds a bit like we're stalling while the pressure ramps up on them due to wages.

Well let them sweat a bit, we have other options we're looking at. Why rush in and pay over the odds when money is so tight this year?

Yep. Feels as tho he’s ‘resetting to zero’ and building from ground up ..

Would be nice to get Wilson or similar tied up early though. We've got a hideous run of games to start off with.

Thanks for the ITK all. While we all love Poch like family, it certainly sounds like Jose's managerial maturity is making our moves in the market more productive (so far).

By keeping the entire core of our squad and all of our key players? We're hardly starting from scratch here.

Seems more like he's fixing the gigantic hole in the roof and replacing the broken windows which the landlord had been saying he'd fix for the past 2 years but never got round to.

Oh, and he's using building materials with excellent leadership qualities. (That's how metaphors work, right?)

Very much so, especially with Harry showing signs he's getting back to his best at the end of the season. Give him and Son the platform to perform at their peak and we will be a major threat. They got 42 goals between them in all comps this season and it was a bit of a car crash, imagine how many they can bag in a strong campaign.

Hopefully Gio has got over his niggly injury and can get back to his pre-lockdown form. Bergwijn showing plenty of promise. Lucas improving his team play too.

Plug the gaps in midfield and RB. Add some strong characters. Makes a ton of sense.

I hope we are holding a bit more in our pocket than we are letting on though, doing something extra to the squad balancing like say Sabitzer at £30m-ish would really top the window off for me (optimistic I know).

If we're really going over his medical history with a fine tooth comb it may be that we're taking opinions from outside of the country and good doctors are a lot like Gareth Bale, really hard to drag off the golf course.

I agree as we could always buy "subject to medical", that way would not lose out where he is concerned if he turns out to be a dud.
