Maybe it's been said further ahead of where I've got to, but Livermore got a big pay increase when he got an England cap ( clause in his contract )

Adebayor offer of Beskitas and another east European club. Expecting his departure after palace with a possible replacement. Defoe expected to stay but very possible he will be gone. Avb wanting lamela and/or willian.

Interesting stuff. If both go, can only imagine they'll bring in a striker as well. Don't think lamela or Willian can be classed as such.

God forbid if Soldado was to get injured/suspended then we'd only have the youth to rely on or sticking one of the AMs up top.

Edit - on further thought maybe Franco is going for a Lamela+Osvaldo double

Just a quick update. Livermore has defo gone Hull. Unfortunately we're still paying most of his wages.

Has any of that been covered by a lump sum fee for the loan?

Fair comment, but Toms played in squads that had Berba, Keane, Modders,VDV, Ledley!! Are we so much better off as a squad now? It's debatable, just a thought before we big ourselves up as usual.

You really need to ask if our squad is better today then at any tome over the past five years?

If all of those players are shifted, they would basically cover the Paulinho and Soldado fees (£43m). That would bring our total spending to £6m (?) for Chadli. Would certainly leave room for Capoue, Lamela/Willian, Eriksen, a new LB and possibly a CB with the new TV-deal, Lewis' rumored £50m etc.

Also, if we get one of Willian/Lamela I just can't see how we get Eriksen as well. The wide AM position would be somewhere that would give more game time to Eriksen, Holtby and Sig if all three were here at same time, but not if we get one of Will/Lam

Home grown isn't to do with nationality it is the number of years spent in a nations accademy system - like siggy owing to his youth in reading. So Holtby doesn't qualify

So in theory you could have a 25 man English squad but one that wouldn't be allowed as none of them trained in England? So a whole squad of players like Holtby, Hargreaves, perotta etc wouldn't be allowed?

A lot of people get the homegrown quota the wrong way. It's not a minimum of homegrown players, it's a maximum of foreign players (17 in total). So you don't have to have 8 homegrown players in a 25 man squad, you just can't have more that 17 foreign players over the age of 21 in your 25 man squad.

So would Holtby and Hargreaves etc be classed as foreign? I think not which is why I classed him as homegrown as such...
