Regarding walker, I do think many fans fail to see that we actually have on our hands a YOUNG, English, attacking fullback who has the desire to improve.

Reading a few articles on the lad over the years and not only is he a good part of the dressing room and the family atmosphere we seem to have at the club amongst players and staff but he also trains hard and always puts a shift in!!

Obviously he has his flaws but the number of times he covered us with his speed ECT has been vital!!

Just think if we were to let him go it would be a classic case of....'you don't know what you had until its gone!!'

Dear ITKers,

Please give a ITK that AVB is staying put.... :nailbiting:

Not itk, but...a journalist from L'Equippe was on talksport this morning and said that the story was probably false at the moment. It depends on what happens to Leandro (edit - got him on the brain, Leonardo!!) and his 9 month ban appeal. This is being heard on the 20th and if it's reduced to 6 months then he will probably still be the manager next season.

However there is a short list but the fans fave is Wenger!

Don't see why people are thinking that we'll sign a LB.
Rose was the best player in a bad team last year, has matured as a player & can slot right in.
Every team has a few indians to go with it's chiefs & he's more than capable.
He's only 22 & most people's negative perception of him stems from when he was a young, inexperienced player playing in an unfamiliar position. Lot of water under the bridge since then plus a whole season in the Premiership. His development is perfectly timed to come and step in for us this coming year.
Benny goes & it's a good few quid towards other more pressing player issues & we have ample cover, it's really not an area we're vulnerable.

I assume in this scenario that ample cover would be Naughton...if so I pray Rose is all you say he is and that he is also unbreakable as I dont want to see Naughton play first team again if possible

Hope disco doesn't leave. I think we'll struggle to find much better without paying over the odds. If anything i think Walker was the weak link last season.
Walker didnt have a good start but I think he ended the season well, left back was a problem all season.

I think Rose will expect to start. I am not convinced by him - or BAE and Walker for that matter. I would like us to buy some really high quality defenders, if we cannot grow them ourselves. I don't know why we do not expect as much from our defence as we do from our strikers. That seems to be the way though. But if the other side can't score, they sure as hell can't beat you. Kaboul may come back good I know, we have Verts, and Lloris is fantastic. It's the rest I worry about!
How exactly are supposed to grow our own defenders if they get wrote off before they have the chance to grow? Ever occurred to you that the best defenders tend to be over the age of 25, look at kaboul not good enough first time round, went away got regular football, came back and now our best defender

Interesting article

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892.../tottenhams-153m-guarin-bid-rejected-by-inter

No ITK here reported anything on Guarin , but this Italian fella claims

i) Guarin Bid rejected because - Tottenham's initial bid, which included performance-related add-ons, was to be paid over five years, but Inter are holding out for deal in which they receive the entire fee up front.

ii) Daniel Levy is currently on holiday in Florida until the end of June, so any deal is likely to be put on hold until his return :banghead:

iii) 110,000-a-week offer is being prepared for Villa

Well i wouldnt be surprised to see benny gomand maybe now is the right time.
He had a terrible season last season, not just bad... Yes he was injured for a large portion, but he didnt have one good game that i remember (hmm might have been a game before he got injured, didnt he score even in in one?)

Not that i think he is a bad player and he has been a great servant to THFC, but i see it as BAE probably could do with a new challenge.

Im not sure he fits with AVB and i felt that reflected in his selection or non selection and his performances when he did play. Again i appreciate the injury factor, but Dawson for example came back after long lay off and out in the cold to largely have a good season. So unless BAE was still injured, he just didnt show the same desire to prove his worth in the team and thats a shame, because we all know that an on form BAE is a good player.

But if AVB has doubts, then selling now to a nouveau riche french club (hopefully) would help provide an increased amount for other more vital positions.

Unless a quality LB is available?! In which case happy to upgrade as i am not sure Rose is the answer, but happy for him to prove me wrong.

This would tally with the fuck all that seems to be going on, yeah?
Also the Sherwood/Baldini meeting ITK...

This is the exact reason I get pissed off with Spurs fans writing off Caulker.

I had a vision in my dream last night, we sold Defoe to WBA. He crashed 1 in off the crossbar on his debut, I then had a discussion with Levy where I explained to him that Defoe will end up top scorer because at WBA he has a lot more space to operate in than when he played for us.

I had a dream the other night I was playing footy with jonjo selvey and someone hit him with a bottle of wine on the head from the crowd but instead of blood coming out party streamers and glitter came out, my question is am I gay
