It got moved to Spurs chat when he agreed to train with us, although the rumors are still going around about if he will play for us or not.

Seems a bit too premature to move it already! Though I sincerely hope he joins! Would take him a 2 year permanent in a heartbeat. For those that say 37 would be too old - Giggs...still pivotal for Man u, Maldini etc, lots of greats always offered bags to a team even at the twilight of their careers.

be happy with that, but hasnt he pushed khaderia out of RM midfield recently?

Indeed, but after getting subbed at half time against villareal he left the stadium in a strop. His relationship with maureen has supposedly been on the slide for a while now.

Pienaar, Beckham, Diarra and a striker (Suarez??) will be an amazing window!

The one I'm most excited about is Diarra. He's been a consistently very, very, good wherever he's been.

Diarra in the middle with modric, Lennon and Bale on the wings with Van Der Vaart slotting in just ahead, feeding Suarez - is almost saliviating! lol.

I might have this wrong, but hasn't he been subbed at half in 2 of the 3 games in 2011?

You could well be right, I've not seen any other Madrid games this year.

I could use the wonders of the internet to check right now but I'm lazy and fancy some sleep, so that mystery shall have to remain unsolved. Unless someone else answers, in which case woopdedoo.

A very good team, but also a very small one. It's no good having a potentially great footballing team if you're liable to concede from a set-piece at every other opportunity.

I doubt Harry will sell Crouch. He's tall and HR always ask the crossers to look for crouch when he's playing and now with us trying to buy Beckham will kind of make it ideal.
I think its Pav on loan or sell IF WE ARE LOOKING at 2 Strikers.
Diarra would be a better acquisition than Pienaar IMO.
I know that Diarra will come to London and play at Spurs. In fact even Benzema would like London so i'm told.
Someone rightly pointed out, we have no-one really challenging BAE, perhaps the versatile Neville can.
With all these itk's and the players we are linked with, it shows our ambition and that we are going for it!
I think we need to sell not for money but for the 25 man squad. So GDS, Keane, Bentley, Ohara...loans for Livermore, Townsend, Naughton, Walker...Woody although he wasn't part of the 25 man squad.
Diarra, Suarez and/or Benzema, Neville and Pienaar will be delicious transfer window.
Don't be surprised if we pull off a coup of Diarra at last minute like we did with VDV

Interesting that apparently Kenwright asked Levy to drop the Neville approach and we agreed. I can't imagine that conversation:

Bill:Would you leave our captain alone, we really like him and don't want you guys to unsettle our already unstable club any further
Dan: Ok Bill, Whatever you say.

Wouldn't it be more like:

Bill: Err Daniel, I mean Mr Levy, don't suppose you would consider, possibly not going after Neville this window - we really need him
Dan: Ok...
Bill: Oh thankyou Dan, I mean Sir, I mean Mr Levy you really are a wonderful...
Dan:But....
Bill:There's a 'but'?
Dan: Oh Yes Bill, there's always a 'but'
Bill: Oh god no...please don't Mr Levy...please don't negotiate with me....
Dan:We'll leave your precious Phillip, but you'll be sending Pienaar down to London right away, for just £2m
Bill: Just £2m, really...we were hoping for more
Dan: More Bill!? More?
Bill: Sorry Mr Levy...I shouldn't have questioned you...
Dan: So Pienaar for £2m this window it is then
Bill: So we have a deal, no approach for Neville and we sell you Pienaar...Done
Dan: Not quite Bill, there is one more thing....
Bill:Oh no please no...
Dan: Bend over Bill
