So again we are hearing we have to sell before we buy, all pointing towards a frantic final week of the window with us selling players / hopefully signing players ?

So Reguillon and Daka for a combined £60-70m if we are lucky, with nothing more than perhaps £20m coming in. Doesn't add up with what our financial situation is listed as (stadium debt, Levy expecting a second wave and keeping his wallet close).

Am I the only one that thinks this might be unlikely?

Honestly, the ITK has been all over the place (not dissing the info) but it has swung wildly

Yes, but in fairness to Dragon, he's said it's not Daka, so the price could be much lower for the striker than the 40mil that has been thrown about on here.

All positive, I think. Rose has to leave - for his sake as much as ours - and I think Italy will suit him. Aurier the same - good for both parties.

Don't know all that much about Reguillon, but getting in a highly-rater youngster in a position of need is definitely not a bad thing. If it doesn't work out, there's always a good opportunity to move him on. For me, Cirkin is too young, and Sess not a definite at LB.

The striker is obviously an important piece of the puzzle. After knowing nothing about him a week ago, I'm very excited about the possibility of Daka, but Dragon insists it's someone else. Ideally we could fit him in as well, but hopefully the alternative choice is just as exciting.

Finally, can we please, please get these done in the next week or so? Would be great to have a bit of stability for the beginning of the campaign! Of course, this could be wildly optimistic. Time will tell.
Agree with the vast majority of this. While Italy may well suit Rose's game, the fans over there (when they eventually return) are not generally known to be the most accepting, and Danny has been targeted in the past - which for the record is fucking disgraceful.

I really do wish him well wherever he goes. He has been a great servant for the club.

Guess that's what happens when one ITK's contact is an agent, another's may be at the club, another might be another agent pushing an agenda, etc. It very rarely all lines up.

Yeah, fair point. However, it's ultimately his choice, and we saw from the documentary he's open to go to Italy. If he feels Genoa is a good opportunity, then I wish him nothing but good luck there.

Not sure it would be that much for these players and also the wages certainly wouldn’t be more than say Rose and Aurier. Think there’s quite a few elements tbh.

The bit of dragon's ITK that excites me the most tbh is that Tanguy and his team are realising that he will still be here after this window. One way or another it's in his interests to start knuckling down now, we've seen glimpses of what he can do and if he can put in the performances regularly we'll have a formidable player on our hands.

Rose on the way out, hopefully on permanent basis. He deserves to get a nice contract somewhere, and he deserves to play for a club full time.

Exciting possibilities about a striker - all/most IKTs seem confident we still have several options.

And Gareth Bale. When even Trix - the most stubborn of the "he will never return brigade" says "it´s not 0% chance", A&C mentions him in the opening - well, plenty more pages in the Bale-thread as expected. For me, well I almost became lyrical (mostly because of Trix´s comment). Not A&C quality, and I don´t know if Mr. Levy is our Ladyboy of Liberty, but still:

Not like the sleezy ****s of Madrid fame
With no qualm of stealing from hand after hand;
Here at our new built shiny home now stands
A baldy gnome with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and his name
Father of Bastards. From his beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; his mild eyes command
The air-tight purse of nought transfer blame.

“Keep, cruel thiefs, your storied pomp!” cries he
With silent lips. “Give me your Welsh, pronto ad hoc,
Your manbun´d golfer yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming flock.
Send Him, the bench-ed, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden cock!

Doesn’t sound that positive if our moves in are so contingent on those moves out, presumably with the outs first as well.

You're both right to be cautious, of course, but I get the impression from both media and itk that signing a striker is neither "unlikely" nor dependent on other sales.

Latest from JJ in response to the statement ‘I guess we are saving the announcement for tomorrow’:

When did I ever say anything about an announcement deadline...?
Don’t worry

So as I read that ITK shifting certain players is critical but shifting them shouldn't be a problem so we are probably moving on our purchases with a fair degree of confidence.

Strong ITK from JJ there!

It's not often he's so confident, especially after he was burnt after that lad from Lazio a few summers ago, so this is promising.

However, this has reminded me why I originally left twitter! The amount of stress heads losing their minds over this striker situation is concerning. How do these people cope with the rigours of every day life!!!

Lazio lad?

The quotes are from a discussion with someone whose tweets I can't see, hopefully someone here can to see what was said on both sides.
Not surprising re Daka, RB don't sell cheaply so can't see us being in a position to do business with them especially these days

I wouldn't say anything he's said means he's confident - just keeps telling people not to worry themselves about it.

They cope by taking the failings of life out on their football team, that's the natural way
