More from Ali z. Poch is relaxed

Whilst i Sympathise with those that want early signings, this is a game of blink, Levy never does, us going early could cost us £20m maybe more, an additional player, Poch wanted money spent (big) more than anything, as per conversation today he knows whats going on and is relaxed, not saying i agree but it works for us with our finances so who am I to disagree.

And

Last i heard no firm bid for Toby, plenty after Moussa.

And

No idea why not announced but been told more than once him (Eriksen) and Alli have agreed new deals.
Please be moussa sissoko (obviously this is actually regarding dembele)

Fine by me, we have most of our team in place and can easily start the season with what we have and not miss a beat. Especially with Lucas having half the season to get adjusted. The deals are at the back end of the window and it was always going to be that way. We've got plenty of time to get things done considering our last signing wasn't until 11 days left in the window last year.

PR. If our transfer window will be shit we will announce them the day after it close saying "hey! but we extended contracts with our best players"

Window closes before the start of the season now.

I'm aware but we've still got about a month. We didn't start announcing signings until 11 or 12 days before the window close last year. No reason to expect any differently this year. I also think this is a result of being interested in higher valued players demanding higher fees, we have to be a lot more careful and patient. If we haven't gotten anything done by the end of the month then I'll start to panic.

Sure - I was just referring to your "we can start the season with what we have and not miss a beat". We can't, imo.

That was more of my opinion of the strength of the squad as it stands with who we're likely to lose. We can still start a really damn good starting 11 minutes the players likely to leave. Meaning I don't think its the end of the world if players come in with a week or two left in the window as it sounds like based off Ali Z's info is how it will be happening. The best players are able to make it work just as Sanchez did last year. Especially if we likely have little turn over in the first 11.

I assume this info comes from the club side - and I wonder if its a situation where both sides have agreed on the terms, but the players have not actually signed the deals, waiting until they come back, post-WC to finish the paperwork.

I'm pretty happy with that Ali Z info. Not ideal on the sell to buy part but the high net spend part is encouraging.

It does make some sense waiting as there are some big transfers likely to go down (following the Ronaldo deal), which might open some opportunites for us. We're currently more attractive than ever. This World Cup has only enhanced our squad's reputation.

Toby is seemingly linked with Martial who is a top target, can see why the world cup has messed with things there. I wouldn't mind if bridges could be mended to be honest.

I'll say it again.

I can't wait for them to abolish these windows.

If you mean "sign anyone anytime", then I'm sure you might not remember the utter hell it was prior to 2003 (or thereabouts). Huge backwards step to go back to that.

Still plenty of time, most of the players haven't even been on holiday yet

We have so many players to shift. Could be double figures.

Be patient. It's not like nobody is working on it.

Asking the internet to be patient is like telling a rabid dog to chill. Props to Hertyid for being willing to die on that hill. That said if we are losing potentially 10+ players then man we are setting ourselves for some potential shortcomings if we don't hit our transfer window near spot on.

Just another potential interpretation of 'brave', maybe.

Hmm.

So Toby, Dembele and Sissoko seem the most linked.

Janssen and N'Koudou I assume are others, but then they aren't going to bring in major fees and could well be sold abroad after our window closes. Hardly talking big figures here.

That's 5. You can probably add Llorente to that, and whilst I don't like it there have also been links to Wanyama leaving. 7.

After that I'm struggling. Maybe Rose if he's still not happy, or Aurier if KWP is getting a call-up. I guess Lamela could be sold too but I'd be against that personally. Good squad/team player.

Unless we are talking about loans for the likes of Onomah and CCV too it seems a bit of a reach to hit double figures. Plus we'd need a serious amount of incomings to keep the squad strength.

I thought the perks of stability included not needing huge player turnover!!

Then again, it could be fun watching us buy 10 players on deadline day... one per hour!!!
