Not sure our T20's selection is all that

I’m a bit bias but I played a few games with Bryany Smith a few years back when she wasn’t playing for Surrey so turned out for her/my local club

Is now centrally contracted but missed selection for this tournament and hopefully for the benefit and betterment of her career signed up for Welsh Fire in The Hundred this summer, who are being coached by the Aussie coach

Looking forward to seeing her smash it

Let me state once and for all, England should have had the chance to make their way into the final. That being said, and please don't call me an ass or anything else, why is it that the Indian cricket fed can call so many shots in world cricket?

When they last played a series in Australia we had to forget the usual first test in Brisbane. Why? They felt they could not win it. The early women's T20 games that India played were on spinning wickets, hence the performance.

The game was played on home soil. Yes we were lucky due to weather. But we showed we are the best cricket team in the world yet again.

Five of the last six doesn't lie, and to do it with your best player out for 6 months says something.

And these girls are so well known due to the level of support they have. Long may it continue.
Money. It's as simple as that.

it’s definitely not all that. we had opening batsme...batters...batswomen batting at 7 and facing 3 balls ffs. it was a dreadful squad and team selection.

for a while the english womens game/structure was on top of game, but now the rest of the world have caught up/overtaken.

hopefully things like the hundred and the womens super league will bring through some more quality talent.

The ECB ended the women's super league in order to make room for the hundred. From this year England won't have a women's T20 competition.

That’s an absolute joke.
How on earth are younger girl players meant to develop?
The funding and sponsorship isn’t there at grass roots or county cricket and definitely not in any women’s game, it’s exactly the same in rugby and most other sports.
When you are only getting 300 people turn up to the Oval for day three of a county championship game and take into account the costings of opening up the ground the figures don’t stack up and they haven’t for years.

Any reason you've singled out The Oval (my home ground) for special mention? Isn't it the same at every county ground?

The ECB is going to abandon the 2020 County Championship season in order to give priority to international and T20 Blast fixtures.

That will upset lots of several people.

And I'm one of them. Hopefully, the club membership I paid for back in January will count for next season too. I'll check with The Oval.

Fuck. I'm missing my cricket far more than football, which is eating itself from the inside out and I'm finding it really hard to give a shit.

You will still be waiting Arnie. Some of our sports "MAY" be up and running in the not to distant future.
Time for some AFL action soon?
We are also desperate to ensure this summers Indian tour goes ahead. The ACB desperately need the money now.

I think they'll get something going, but without spectators. Think of the TV revenue they'll get with some actual live sport; that's what they're doing!
