Ah the joys of cricket and being able to say stuff on the internet, I feel like a bell, but a happy bell. Good fucking times.

You don't get the scale of it on those highlights though.

If you can watch the whole last wicket partnership i would recommend it.

You ought to caveat it and disclaimer it that basically at his own risk

Then again Teok knows the ending...

It was actually draining so much so that the spurs game i was devoid of emotion - i was angry at the performance but just meh...

So.

I spend three days watching England stumble around like a drunken cyclops in a Venetian glass shop, and the one day I miss they turn into a cricket team to be proud of.

Thanks, Ben. :grumpy:

(And bloody well played, sir.)

Just watched the highlights, even with Boycott commentating its still bloody enjoyable.

I just cant get my head around what Stokes just did.

The six off Lyon to take us to within two....balls of steel.
Have to give honourable mentions to Root & Denly for yesterday along with Bairstow who got the scoreboard moving but the deficiencies are still there, interesting squad selection coming up...

When England got 67 in the first innings I checked the odds as I fancied a bet especially as we would be batting on a day 3 or 4 pitch....they were only giving 4 to 1 so didn’t bother.....seemed very stingy odds at the time.

The football can only be an anti-climax after this whatever happens.:nailbiting:

How right you were. Wish I’d stayed home to watch the cricket instead of watching that garbage this afternoon.

Still cannot believe we pulled that off. When we started that innings I wouldn’t have even bet a quid on an England win, even if I’d been offered 100/1.

Incredible stuff really, just settling down to watch the highlights now.

After the summer Stokes is having, it surely won’t be long till it’s Sir Ben Stokes.

Also hats off to Jack Leach, played a perfect tail ender test match innings. Did’nt throw his wicket away chasing runs, giving Stokes the perfect platform to get the runs needed.

The greatest '1' ever scored.

Only a casual fan, but that was the highlight of the day today (bar the cider festival). Enjoy the drunken winner ratings, that was some show by Stokes
