great day to watch that was.

think we can all agree the Aussies got away with one there. if Jimmy and Broad had the overs left it'd have been 3-1.

Meh, if it wasn't for the rain we'd have lost this yesterday.

Still, it goes in the books as a 4-0 series defeat instead of the usual five, which is a millimetres consolation

Well that final day had everything.
Anyone who says Test Cricket is boring should watch that day.
Well played both teams.
Great cricket allround.

I watched the start of today and the end but was surprised we were still there int he end

Question - why have the crowd attendances been shit? I mean day one tends to be ok then it just disappears when day two comes around. I know its not been the most competitive of ashes but was expecting a bit more - not today but even the MCG. Huge stadiums too.

Covid i presume. Omicrom is rampant here now the big open has happened. Why go out if you don't need to. I don't!

The commentator (female, Alison something? @aussiespursguy) was saying on day 1 that there are a lot of people actually really scared of the virus in Oz and have stayed away from big crowds, there may also be some restrictions still in place. Certainly were in Melbourne.

Tense finish that! Nice to have avoided the white wash!

Going to be long old day now having been awake most of the night listening to it. Given series is over I couldn’t be bothered to stick on the tv.

Yeah I was thinking Covid but just seemed strange they turn out for the first day then dont bother but can understand people being cautious of the virus.
