That'll be Archer dropped for the next test then.

Doesn't help the fact those above him on and off the field haven't the first fucking clue how to use him ...

You can’t use him properly if he decides what he wants to do when it suits. Which he clearly does.
Haha, yeah, totally. That why Root and the brain trust had Woakes attempt to bowl bouncers yesterday afternoon and bowl Root and Bess straight after lunch ... Yeah, alllllll on Archer. Good grief.

Woakes was bowling as quickly as Archer...

You’re angrier than Stuart Broad. It’s only cricket mate.

Archer was bowling quicker than most of the others in the last test at the Aegis Bowl.

Angry? How old are you? ?

Please don't bring Spurs Chattiness bullshit bickering and cock waving into this thread, it's one of the few escapes from it we have.

Archer isn't firing down the thunderbolts of last summer that's for sure.

The stress fracture to the elbow has been brought up as a possible excuse - that's something I haven't a clue about, maybe?

Could do with a couple of quick wickets here, don't care who gets them.

It’s just odd because in the NZ tour before the SA tour when he did the elbow he lost about 10mph from the Ashes, Root gave some cryptic answer in an interview, then SA came and the elbow went.

I think he likes the competition for bowling quick, he was very jovial with Mark Wood last year about who had bowled the fastest ball etc, then in the first test of the WI series he bowled pretty quick with Wood from the other end who bowled serious pace. Since then Wood hasn’t played and Archer has slowed again.

I’ll say again that he’s a conundrum.

Yeah, that's a far more logical take on it, agree with it - which means we're in the lap of the gods with the selectors.

See what this spell brings but his speeds are down.

Got a wicket, need more.
