A great game of cricket. Just a shame hardly anyone in the UK got to see it. It's staggering that there isn't at least a highlights program on terrestrial TV for England's overseas tours.

Alli my MOTM

Keeper did well with a couple of decent saves

Good first half from Wood but faded late in the game

Still don’t like our formation so a minus point for the Manager too

This is about resting players, giving players experience as well as seeing if they can handle the step up. I'd have not had Curran bowling the last over but at the same time it does him and us some good by seeing if he can handle the pressure. Buttler can't buy a run at the minute and for me they are using him wrong.

I'm not sure Wood is going to be in the World Cup team, that place goes to Archer if he's fit and Joe Denly's career strike rate in 20/20 is a run a ball which I'm not sure is good enough and I guess he's really only in because Root has been rested, we have far more explosive batsmen who we can bring in. Going forward I'd drop Denly for (take your pick) maybe Banton, have Buttler batting lower down and maybe bring back Alex Hales, who they will eventually get around to easing back in anyway, which means Root would struggle to get in the side.

Its encouraging that we seem to have a number of players in this format to call on and it'll be interesting to see who successfully steps up as well as to see who gets the captaincy when Morgan finally calls it a day.

I have nothing against Denly, but I am really confused why he is suddenly part of the T20 side. Especially when we have some other really good options available and on the tour.

i seem to remember they brought him in because he bowled what looked like useful leg spin in 20/20 cricket. he’s also played well as an opener in for a few franchises.

but he’s nowhere near good enough for this limited overs side as anything.
