Am I allowed to say England have an issue playing spin? After the second test it seemed inevitable they'd prepare a spinning pitch again, and its working.

This is the way though.

Will there be a conversation around Pope and his lack of (consistent) runs? (Never mind his horrendous reviewing, which may be a sign of his poor shot selection/decision making).
This pitch is a farce though for day 1, you may well be right, but trying to judge it from this is probably not worth it - some of those have gone sideways, or across the floor in Day 1, session 1.

It's not a spinners pitch, it's just a really poor pitch, lets see how the seamers get on because I wouldn't be surprised if the ball does all sorts of mad shit regardless of who is bowling especially as time goes on.

Imagine if Stokes declares on 200 and puts them in. IMAGINE.

Ok Pakistan; we see you, and we fucking raise you!

Gutted Smith couldn't get his ton, but an innings saving knock and partnership with Atkinson that's gonna at least give us a respectable 1st inns.

In general mate. Nothing special about Pakistan's spin attack imo.
And is the dislike of spinners opening because its not very 'test cricket'? I guess given they bowled nothing but spin and probably had no intention of bowling seam, they were always going to open with spin.

Is the ball doing much for Gus?

He's just taken a wicket, but more good bowling than help from the conditions. Just a good line.

46/3 and England are definitely in the game here.
