The Nowhere Men contains quite an accurate summation of Butland. I'll see if I can dig it out, but it basically amounts to him being terrific, but capable of being an absolute calamity
Yeah he is a keeper with top class ability but struggles badly to get out of a rut.

Nathan Jones has won three games in 10 months as Stoke manager. Might possibly get the Huddersfield game next week but it's impossible to see him staying there long.

Would Luton want him back?

The majority of Luton fans wouldn't take kindly to that

Maybe. They always fuck it up though, as do Leeds to be fair.
Would be highly amusing though. The old bill would love it. All the old fellas would come out for that one. There might even be some singing in the ground. Popcorn and craft ale being tossed by the hipsters. Fucking hairy lairy arse.

I only started watching PL footy in 05-06 but it's a bit interesting looking at the current Championship standings from mid table and lower as it's littered with former PL sides familiar to me since that year (13 of the last 16).

20 of 24 actually, none of the teams 5th to 8th in Brentford, Preston, Millwall and Bristol City have been in the PL since the breakaway.

I still find it a bit odd that we have Bournemouth and Brighton in the PL but not Leeds, Forest, Derby et. al.

What I actually meant to say was that from 9th to 24th there are 13 teams that were former PL sides since 05-06. Don't know what I was on about

I’m shocked at how good Cardiff are going as their squad is shit, and when they got rid of Warnock the new manager was dreadful tactically at first

Would love to see Brentford come up, they’ve played decent football for a while now.

Who would've thoughg focusing on the fa cup instead of staying up would have the effect of sending the club spiraling into administration 5 years back.
TBH they could well be the first of many. Unprecedented times ahead.
