There's James Joyce pub which is supposed to be decent. If we can get enough Spurs fans we can watch it there, get a bit of an atmosphere going. It's about 10 min walk from Plaza Colon. I'm going to message them to see what's what.
Sounds good, thanks. Can you also post what you find out in the 'Madrid without tickets' thread? Cheers

Nice.

I’m naturally put off by fanzones so will be looking for a bar.

I don't mind a fanzone with a bit of atmosphere during the day, soak it in, singing in the sun etc, but when it comes to watching the game much prefer heading into a pub.

So there were still £60 tickets available now, which is nearing the end of phase 2, right? Gives me hope the final loyalty points requirement may come down quite a bit if so!

I don't really know to be honest. I just picked the block I wanted to sit in and was allocated a ticket. But apparently the £500 ones have sold out.

It’s scandalous and absolutely disgusting. UEFA/FIFA are scum of the earth and rotten to the core so should we expect anything else? It’s hilarious that our own FA see themselves as bastians of fair play and proudly call their League Cup Final the ‘fans final’ and then boast that each club in the final get 33k...that still leaves 24k seats going somewhere else!

That in football is deemed generous and something of a moral victory.

All that will happen on June 1st is shitload of genuine fans will have spent a small fortune to be at the game. These sponsors and UEFA friends making a killing flogging them to desperate fans of both clubs.
33k out of a 68k capacity goes to fans officially, but come match night I’d hazard that at the very least a further 20k will have found their way in to Tottenham and Liverpool fans hands.

Surely that alone shows how badly ticket distribution for this fixture needs to change.

I agree totally

Also in addition to what youve outlined above, what about the 6k tickets of the 16k given to us - who are they being given to by the club? it cant be just down to player guests and staff

Those who got through today - what was availability like by the end? Can you see the individual seats?

Just as the panic level were reaching physical pain levels it suddenly let me in. Block 114!

On a side note I don't really understand the pricing. I would've rather paid £200 for the £60 ones than £60 for the £500 ones.
I don’t understand how the pricing allows for tickets behind the goal to cost 15% of my Spurs season ticket with a great tv view but hey ho...

Still £60 tickets left for 3rd & last sales window, pretty sure that tickets will be offered lower down the loyalty points list.

The ticket prices for this fixture are;
  • Category 1: £513 (£410 restricted view) VERY LIMITED AVAILABILITY
  • Category 2: £385 (£308 restricted view)
  • Category 3: £154 (£120 restricted view)
  • Category 4: £60 VERY LIMITED AVAILABILITY
When purchasing your ticket, you will be able to select a Block but not a specific seat. Blocks which are sold out will be excluded from selection.

If there is an interactive map of the seats be great if someone could post that tomorrow.

I didn’t see any interactive map thing, ala Wembley/NWHL, just had to pick a pricing point, number of tickets and block and then assign to people in my network.

4 of us driving down to Zaragoza where we'll catch a fast train to Madrid

Leave Friday AM back Monday lunchtime. Kipping in 3 decent hotels at various places with a total cost of £97 pp

2 of us have tickets. 2 don’t

Thought I’d sorted a great price for the whole trip until someone mentioned how much all the tolls might add up to. Bloody ridiculous, could be another £80 each in Tolls!!!

As for the pubs in Madrid I’d imagine there will be a lot more 'Scousers' in Madrid than Spurs so taking over any of the decent pubs would require some planning

The fact that there are still £60 tickets left for 3rd phase buyers is quite surprising. According to the figures released by the club of the percentage of tickets available it works out roughly that around 3,300 are priced at £60 and they haven't sold out in 1st & 2nd phase . So I wonder what is the percentage of ST holders so far who have actually purchased a ticket, not that high by the look of it or you would have expected £60 tickets to be all gone of course some may have been held back for later buyers.

It's not that bad, it's more like £80 each way. To get to the Spanish border through France is about £50ish.
