It's been a funny window really. We've worked so well to have a clear plan. There's not been any leaks (Odobert the highlight of the window in how it happened) but I've felt relaxed. It just means we get to deadline day and we're already done but that's surely what we all want.

As far as signings we've filled every position really aside from left back and backup keepr. You could say left centre back but there's a few prospects coming through there so Davies can cover as well as Gray. Yet Dragusin will also be next in line left centre back as we don't rotate that position much and not often will VdV and Romero be put the same time. I would like to see some youth prospects signed for full back though.as we don't have that as we do centre back. That and a cheap homegrown 2nd keeper but maybe one for Jan.

Other than that we've signed 2 CMs, 2 wide attacker and 1 centre forward with another wide attacker arriving in Jan. Yet us doing things like that seems to get forgotten like Bergvall signing on a pre contract for July 1st doesn't get the hype in summer as it's already been confirmed in Feb. The only really question come of this "ready for the first team" and how some are saying definitively not. How can anyone know these teenagers aren't ready? I've watched a 16 year play a key role for Barca and Spain. This is the one thing uncertain is those youngsters and if they're ready yet. Let's wait and see before we make that judgement. Afterall Odobert impressed in his debut and both Gray and Bergvall have looked great in pre season and off the bench in the league.

We always have to consider evolution on the current team too. We already had a young team and both Moore and Lankshear are 1 year developed too. Europe now gives then chance to develop further. Very excited for the young prospects personally.

I think it's been a good window. Gray and Odobert look excellent so far and Solanke I think is going to be a very effective player for us in a position we desperately needed strengthening. If you include Bergvall then it's been a very exciting window, one of the most exciting in terms of potential for years.

I didn't think we needed Eze and I was very concerned about Neto's injury record so not signing either of them wasn't a problem for me at all. Unfortunately for some in here not signing those players has clouded their judgement a bit on the window.

Is it perfect? No of course not, I'd like to see cover for the left side of defence and it will be a bit of a worry if we don't manage that but other than that I'm happy.

I think Gray is going to be an absolute star for us.
Thanks Hildo. Exactly my thoughts, and you saved me having to type it all out.

"2 short" Tottenham, always the same IMO.
Be interested to hear what the vibe\feeling is within the club as thats the most important thing.
Did great with the outs, Wage bill reduced ridiculously well, but that hard work not then used for a marquee signing.
Solanke is good, youngsters might be good, but feels a little like the 2019 window again if im honest.

We only ever seem to pickup players from overseas or lower clubs (Bournemouth, Leeds, Burnley) rather than go and sign a top player that the other top 6 want.....
Frustrating, as I really like the XI and Ange.

I thought the window closed yesterday. I popped on here earlier in the evening and then again at midnight and was amazed how quiet it was.

I went to bed wondering whether we had grown as a community and acceped no further activity without a melt down.

I'm now very concerned there is clearly something not right with me to even have considered this a possibility.

We have already seen them fall apart when under pressure at Leicester, I would have liked just one experienced head in the Naybet mould to come in and help

Who fell apart? Kids like Maddison, Son, Bentancur? Them, Sarr and Johnson were on the pitch when we lost our heads. When we brought on Bergvall and Gray (and Kulu) we regained some control and composure.

I agree with you in that I think an experienced head would be useful (one who can cover CB and LB ideally…hang on) but I’m not sure you’re right about the Leicester game.

Okay/ borderline underwhelming window on the surface but wouldn't be surprised if we look back at it as one of our best ever in a few years.
Yeah, I can see why you say this

I think it'll be boosted by the fact that many of those who were only OK last year, will be improved this year.

And those who we have brought in - if you include Bergvall and Dragusin from last winter, I can definitely see a few being nailed on first teamers by the end of the year.

I'm positive, even though it may well still be something of a transitional season.

Think we were desperate for a top quality 1st choice midfielder and wing forward. Kids look alright so far, but they are just kids and putting the weight on their shoulders alone is a dangerous approach. I think Oderbert and Solanke have promise but are a bit unknown as to whether they can cut it at this level.

6/10 for incomings.

Seemed to do a good job with outgoings.

- Happy with each individual signing,
- happy with every exit,
- Excited to see the growth in loads of players this season.
- Wanted more left sided defensive cover
- Dreamed of Eze for completely irrational reasons
- We would have walked top 4 last season with less injuries and suspensions. Would think/hope that was an exceptional circumstance. Cant legislate for that type of squad disruption
- Could never spend the necessary money to build a squad to compete with top 3
- Worried about the growth in our nearest rivals/competitors. Particularly Utd. Hopefully they still prove to be a shambles

So overall pretty nuanced view on the whole thing.

My reverse psychology take is that we’ve always done our worst when we think our window has been amazing 😂

It wouldn't matter who we signed, people will always want more.
I'm afraid this is modern day society all over, well in my thinking it is.
People never seem happy happy and always want more.

I suppose being born at the end of the second world war gives people a different out look on life.

At the moment we are at the beginning of a new era at Spurs, there will always be ups and downs with progress in a club like THFC.
We don't have the mega bucks that some teams have (YET), but the future is sure looking brighter!

I'd argue that a lot of the 5's and 6's out of 10 would be 7's and 8's if we had just managed to add a LB/LCB to fill that quite clearly GLARING hole in this squad.

I like Ben Davies but he's not the best option for even one of those slots, let alone both. Spence is great RB cover but I dont wanna see him at LB.

Midfield and Forward line I'm less concerned about but Richarlison can't get through 20 mins without "feeling something" and we've managed to injure a player after 2 mins who was fit for all of last season.

I have high hopes for Gray, Bergval, Odobert and Hyeok, I love the Solanke signing and the outgoing business has been very good but I can't help but feel we could've done more and that lingering feeling is frustrating and disappointing.

I’m delighted with the signings we’ve made. I see evidence of a coherent recruitment strategy which aligns perfectly with the manager’s vision and needs. We’re 1-2 signings short from competing and comfortably withstanding an injury crisis, but Rome wasn’t built in a day and you can’t lose sight of the fact that we have massively overhauled the squad over the past year. We have been one of the busiest PL clubs for both incomings and outgoings for the third window running and last time I checked only Chelsea and PSG have spent more in that period. Solanke is the the biggest PL signing of the window and our record transfer. Gray is one of the most expensive teenagers of all time. We haven’t sold any first team players and we kept hold of Richy which shows that finances aren’t the overriding priority. If we’re being realistic it’s been a strong window and it’s another big step in the right direction.

Well I believe and it’s all opinion because we will never know that if we had a holjberg to bring on we see that game out and I’d also argue that the regaining of control was more to do with the break because of Bentancours injury.

In defence I actually don’t think we need experienced cover. Either a hybrid centre back /left back or a young left back that can replicate Udogies role would do. I’m a Big Ben Davies fan but he can’t play that role in this team.

I'm not hugely upset by the window but I'm a bit concerned why a back up for Udogie isn't seen as a priority. Bad injury to him and I don't see how we can play anything like our preferred game. Feels like that would have been one of the key areas to address?

Wingers is disappointing but getting blown out of the water for Neto isn't odd and Odobert looks great.

Pretty happy with the squad to be honest. I think Werner will be really useful in Europe and just need Solanke and Richarlison to both be fit!

No complaints with who has joined, but I am worried about the quality and depth in certain areas.

A top class Central Midfielder and Winger and I think then we could really push for the top, but it’s a process and we’ve obviously not been able to get everyone in.

Think its been a good window. Wanted Solanke and the younger signings could go on to be world class - particulatly Gray and Bergvall

Pretty clear to me we"re building to compete for the title in a few seasons time.

Carefull and measured planning, going for the right profile and character of player.

Yes defensive cover would of turned it into a very strong window but overall the future looks very exciting.

We really don't need a Hojbjerg to beat Leicester. Those results happened with him anyway.
