I’d take another chance on Dele, stick him behind Kane, centrally. Where he should be. Get Son and Lucas out wide to create space.

Winks and Ndombele in CM (at home to Watford anyway) with Foyth at RB. Sanchez over Toby and then Jan and, fuck it, give Rose one last chance.

If it’s not good enough, then :bored:
IMO Lucas can’t play wide, he’s much more effective up front.. play Kane behind him

Gazza
Sissoko Sanchez Tanganga Davies
Winks Ndombele
Lamela Kane Son
Moura

Whiteman KWP Dier Skipp Alli Markanday Parrot

Lets try Moura up top and Kane in the 10 role, they have excelled there in the past when we have had those two in those positions for spells of games before. We need Kane to get on the ball more, he has a lot better physical side than Eriksen, he can pick a pass and he can shoot from distance. We have seen Moura used as a pacey striker before he even excelled as a target man on a number of occasions last season. Id also put Markanday on the bench as he is one of the few who have impressed in the admittedly limited younger age group matches i have viewed.

I'm sorry but I have never seen Kane and Moura excel together...

It wont matter. Just watched brighton highlights again. Theres no effort there. Poch has lost the dressing room. We are in serious trouble.

Absolute basket case of a club at the min.

I’ve no idea who I’d select.

The sad truth is, if we played the same team (our classic lineup) with all the want-away tossers but had a different bloke at the helm, we’d likely see our old Tottenham back. Press, energy, effort, etc.

But then again we’d likely lapse after a week or two and we’d be back here again with a disgruntled squad, unharmonious dressing room, and players trying to prove a point.

The situation seems untenable to me. I don’t necessarily want Poch out, but fucking hell, some of our performances over the last 12 months have been abysmal. We look so laboured, slow, ponderous, neutered, placid, plodding and nervy that you have to question whether 5/6 of our best players became utter cigar fish overnight, or they have simply stopped trying.

My money can only be on the latter.

So... what do we do?

The simplest solution it seems is to have a change of manager, but realistically Poch is the best manager we’ve had for ages, although it may pacify the arseholes and stem the flow.

Problem being is that the majority will be off next summer for a free anyway, and we’ll need to buy new players regardless. Maybe Poch is the man to work with the new players. Who fucking knows.

This is such a multi-faceted situation that has both long and short term implications and intricacies.

Short term, you’d change the manager, longer term that might not be so wise.
The season isn’t over yet, but if we lose against Watford, we may have to come up with a contingency plan. I don’t like the fact the players are seemingly dragging Poch under the bus when he largely elevated us to our current stature, anyway.

The want-aways need to be treated as such. The others can't do much worse. Need to be bold.

Alli needs to play this so like od the midfield 3 need to make way

I'm aware that:

- The next game isn't for a couple of weeks and it's too early, blah blah.
- There's no way Poch will do anything bar the fucking diamond.
- Poch won't pick these players.

But fuck it. Here goes:

Gazza
KWP Sanchez Tanganga Rose
Dier
Winks Alli
Lucas Kane Son

Bench: Whiteman Davies Foyth Sissoko Ndombele Parrott Lamela

Losing my will with these players so at this moment I don’t care about this game. Say we do win, what does that tell you ? Watford are the worse side in the league so we are hardly turning a corner by beating these. Everything feels so stale at the club now. Just needs a massive clearout and rebuild. Build around the core members of the team and write this season off.

How Aurier doesn't even make the bench in a lot of your teams shows that many would rather play without an actual right back. The whole team got ripped against Bayern but only he gets called out. Lamela made a half arsed effort to block the cross that led to the first goal and all I hear are crickets. Let that have been Aurier. When we thrashed Palace it showed exactly what we were missing when he wasn't playing.

Yeah but this sums up why I wouldn't have Aurier anywhere near the team. Against Palace when things were going our way he was excellent but when things go wrong he jacks it in. See Bayern for proof.

The last thing we need right now is someone who will give up when things aren't going well.

Trust me he weren’t the sole reason that we lost to Bayern. There were others just as culpable. I didn't see many players risking it all to block the shots. There’s not a mention of them

I never said he was the sole reason we lost to Bayern. What I said was that he gave up.

Winks had a poor game. But he never stopped showing for the ball.

Kane had a poor game but still converted a penalty against arguably the best keeper in the world.

Rose had a poor game but still won that penalty.

Aurier had a poor game and gave up.

Poch if he is still in job for Watford game, has got to go all in and take tough decisions if he feel that players who are under contract cloud are not responding...

My XI in Poch shoes...

Gazzaniga
Foyth,Sanchez,Tanganga,
Sissoko,Winks,Ndombele,Sessegnon(if fit)
Lucas, Kane,Son

You trust Winks and Ndombele to screen the back line by themselves?
