I'd go for a 4-3-3 system with Ndombele Dier and Winks. Son Kane and Moura on top

For what it's worth, there is a training vid of Sess and Celso joining in 2 on 2 matches at full pelt with Lucas, Lamela, Dire etc. safe to assume they are close to full fitness.

Edit: here is a Facebook link to the vid...

Based on what I saw last night and wanting to get the best out of key players, I’m changing my thoughts and v Watford I’d go 433:

Gazzaniga
Foyth Sanchez Vertonghen Sessegnon
Winks
Ndombele Dele
Lucas _____________ Son
Kane

Vorm Dier Davies Skipp Sissoko Eriksen Lamela
If Sessegnon is fit, go with Davies, Walker-Peters on the bench.
If Lo Celso is fit, on the bench instead of Skipp.

I really like that. A conservative RB allowing Sess to rampage down the left.

I'd maybe swap Ndombele for Dele to cover the space.

I am not making predictions or second guessing Poch. I am just putting out the team that I Bulletspur wants to see based on who I think is available

Gazzaniga

KWP ____ Sanchez _____ Verts _____ Rose

Sissoko ___ Winks _____ Ndombele

Lamela ____ Kane ______ Son

Its I pity I couldn't include Lucas (I could if I dropped Ndombele and go 4231) but based on our form, we need a strong midfield presence. I put Son over Lucas only because he (Son) seems to do well against Watford.

Subs: Vorm Davies Tanganga Dier Eriksen Dele Lucas

Good, but i also read they are highly unlikely to feature.

I think Poch may stumble into a formation where we overload attacks from our left hand side

We would start with a back 4 of

Foyth CB CB Sessegnon

When we attack Foyth slots in to make it a back 3 allowing Sessegnon to push to wing forward

That sort of formation worked for me back in the day on FM and that back 4 is suited to that

We would create overloads down that left hand side with Sessegnon Ndombele and Son whilst having 3 CBs when we get dispossessed
We had a similar thing in the early days of Modric. He was played on the left of a 4-4-2, but wouldn't stay there, and constantly drifted inside. BA-E would then push right up to the halfway line, to fill that space, while Charlie would stay deep and narrow, in almost a back three. It worked OK, but we had 'Azza, who was almost a RWB anyway, patrolling the space that Charlie left.

That whole system worked well for 'Arry, not because it was a good tactical shout (it had loads of problems) but because 'Arry didn't have do do anything, it just happened naturally when those 4 players did what they naturally wanted to do. Poch also got lucky like that when Dele, Kane and Eriksen first started playing together - their natural games just gelled perfectly.

I watched this video this morning and was looking out for GLC closely. He doesn't look sharp enough to me yet, which is understandable. He gets skinned by Dier at one point and is generally looking a bit ragged when defending. Granted we don't need that from him particularly but it gave me the impression that he needs to get his fitness and match sharpness up a bit and will likely be on the bench like he was before, getting some 20 min cameos before we see him starting.

Sess will also hopefully make the bench as he looked a bit more ready than GLC.

Incredible that Aurier doesn’t make many of your squads. People seem to be placing all our woes on him. The Brighton game illustrated that it’s not all one players fault

Eriksen probably out. Not like he should have been anywhere near the 18 anyway. Hope Poch just drops him from first team training when he returns.
