Yep, you think he would want to right his wrong and fight for his future with us. If he flops again then he’s done and dusted. The same approach will apply to other players albeit they’re not all available tomorrow. Maddison, Bissouma, Bentancur, Johnson, Udogie, Porro all need to improve and become consistent.

Be amazed if it isn’t as I just don’t see Ange dropping Maddison or Johnson to accommodate Bergvall.

Unfortunately I think you are spot on here. Ange simply will refuse to rotate even though Porro and Udogie are totally gassed, playing poorly and an instant away from a muscle injury. Absolutely should be Spence and Reguilon - I don’t care how long it’s been since they’ve played a real game or the risk involved. We need to try it.

And don’t see anything other than trotting Son and Johnson out there up top. In fairness, there really isn’t much to work with there with all our options dead. I’d be more than happy to see a youth player as an early sub on one of the wings. Can’t be worse than what we’ve been getting from our senior players.

We can only hope if this is the team that Ange changes his tactics slightly.

Porre and undogie both look like there running on empty . We are going to have to be more rigid and harder to break down Southampton were very unlucky to lose against Liverpool the other week . They play good football and off we don’t turn up , like don’t most away games under Ange we will be in for a very uncomfortable night

I still remember when we had to play Chelsea on a Saturday lunchtime having played away in Europe on a Thursday night - back then they didn’t allow games on Easter Sunday

I’d throw out all the players we have out injured and see if we can get a pity win. Have them all playing on crutches and comparing surgery scars while Richarlison scores on his motorized wheelchair after we find out his legs been amputated since the last time we saw him.
