With top 5 pretty much unattainable, I would like to see Mou give Ndombele and Skipp some minutes for this game.

Hugo
Aurier -- Toby -- Dier -- Vertonghen
----- Skipp -------- GLC
------------Ndombele -------------
Lamela ------- Kane ------ Bergwijn

Lamela for his intensity and pressing and Jan in the LB/LCB to shift into a back three while Aurier does his RW thing. Skipp over Sissoko as he'll move the ball quicker and Moussa can do with a break.

Everton are in pretty good form, I'm not expecting much after tonight.

We are going to get rocked.

Lloris; Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Sessegnon; Lo Celso, Winks; Son, Ndombele, Bergwijn; Kane

I call this the “fuggit, whatever.” Lineup.

Is it too early (or even too late) to say "play the yoof"?

Regardless of formation, do we have any better players to get in ahead of this team?

I could make a case for bergwijn but not many others.

Dier, Sanchez and Davies were poor today but I don’t see the point in dropping them, Toby and Jan aren’t exactly the future and we will need pace against the transitional threat of DCL and Richarlison.

Winks in for Sissoko, Moussa gets himself about and is a monster in duels but he’s still not a 6 and with Winks sitting we will at least improve our first and second phase buildup.

If we can’t give Ndombele a try now since the season is done we might as well just ship him out. With Lamela I am one of the first to point out his deficiencies but at least he’ll bring intensity.

It staggers me that people are putting Son in their teams. He’s been absolutely pig shit since the restart and has no right to be anywhere near our starting XI.

I’d love to see this team but I know it’s not going to happen.

Honestly, Sess is the only winger beside Bergwijn who deserves to start. Son, Moura, Dele and Lamela have all been an embarrassment.

I’m so, so far from being a Winks fan and I wouldn’t mind seeing Skipp play in that holding role instead but certainly not Sissoko, who was an absolute embarrassment today.

Looking at that, you can see where we need improvements this summer. Particularly at DM and RB.
