I have been re watching the Tottenham Amazon All or Nothing documentary and it’s easy to forget that GLC was a really key figure in Jose’s first season. In fact at one point José discussed giving him a rest because he was one of the few players who didn’t get injured that year ! How things have changed. But he remains a quality player regularly selected by Argentina. Right now he is offering more than Maddison ( despite being normally restricted to 10 minutes per game ) while Maddison doesn’t deserve to be in the team.

Most seem to be picking the same team. But I’d go Emerson right and Porro left for this one.

Bit of a knee jerk I think to start Skippy at LB. But I wonder if Ange has thought of him as Porro’s back up next season?

I think Ollie, and Sarr can both defend one v one, have good engines, cross a decent ball off their right side and stating the obvious drift effectively into the mids.

Sell Emerson in the summer, and let them fight it out…

Find out who cares enough to fight for it.

There will be no U21's anywhere near the first team squad for any of the remaining games , so no point anyone wishing that Donley or Lankshear being given a chance.
U21's have a big game on Sunday and a cup final tomorrow week.

If we are guaranteed 5th before Sheffield Utd and cannot get 4th, why wouldn’t he put some on the bench and give them 20 minutes, or even start one. I think we are only talking about Donley, Santiago , Lankshear and Mikey Moore. George Abbot got minutes v Leeds last game of last season.

Skipp would invert into a DM position rather than an 8 which would leave Bentancour to push on into that role.

Joking aside - must win game is an understatement - go with best team, and let kids watch and learn. Now is not the time to toss them into the pressure cooker - unless they show they are training better than those in front of them.

Ange is best situated to figure out who is best at LB - maybe with a week of training that is Skipp, or someone else.

I would go with a front three of: Son, Richarlison, Johnson. I probably come back to Maddison at the 10 spot, and Bentancur and Bissouma at the other spots.

Too many ifs, if Spurs U21 beat Liverpool on Sunday there will be a semi to play , probably on the weekend of the Sheffield game , sure they will want the strongest U21 team possible to try and win PL2 title.

Can Santiago play LB in this system (don't know that much about him). He's 21, so not sure how much longer you can have a player before giving him a chance or letting him make a career? Just exploring options with left peg.

Skipp should be getting a start but just can't find a place for him. Early sub though if we're struggling. Maddison and Son are lucky to be in there on current form.

You can make so many permutations for how we will line up but all I ask is that Richarlison plays through the middle and Son out left.

Lo Celso playing would be preferential but let's be honest, he's not going to be here next season and nor should he waste another year being a bit part player for us.

Don't think Burnley are going to try to win the game by being 3-0 up at half time. It'll just look very similar to how every lower league team sets up against us. Sit deep for 75 mins; look for the counter; have a go in the last 15 if needed.
