He really isn't. Winks stinks up the place just as much and has had an extended run in the side under Poch and proved he isn't good enough. It seems JM has cottoned on quite quickly that Winks is shite. He was garbage at United just weeks ago. Classic case of players getting better when they are out of the team.

If Winks can't get into the side ahead of Dier and Sissoko, I would start to look for another club because how can you come back from that. JM must think he is terrible. It is telling that he took Dier off at half time for Eriksen, he clearly feels Winks neither offers what Dier does defensively, nor offers anything creatively. Something I've been saying for ages.

Just don't get why we don't play Ndombele and GLC... We are shit defensively anyways... So may as well overpower teams and outscore them.

If we can pick eleven players who are comfortable passing and trapping a football, we’ll have a good chance of a result.

If Lo Celso can’t get a start at home to Brighton after the shower we watched last weekend, he might as well leave.

would have thought ndombele(with sissoko moving right) or eriksen are more likely.

I don't know how good (or bad) Ndombele's English is but I wouldn't be surprised to see him in with Sissoko just so that somebody can tell him what's going on around him. I suppose Toby and Jan probably speak French quite well also, but a language barrier can be quite a hindrance for new players. Same goes for Lo Celso in many respects.

Anyone selecting Vorm would shortly be begging for Gazzaniga. He's got experience, but he's not been a good goalkeeper for a long time now (evidenced by no one wanting him).

I wish we'd try 3-5-2 / 5-3-2 with Aurier and Sessegnon as wing backs. They are both so perfect for the roles.

............................Gazzaniga
.........Sanchez...Alderweireld....Vertonghen
Aurier......................Winks.....................Sessegnon
................Sissoko..............NDombele....................
................................Alli.......................................
.................................Kane........................................

It's also very fluid. Either of the wing backs can drop into the back line to make a four, with one of the CBs shifting across. And when we're attacking, we can overload, knowing our WBs are fast which to get back and that we still have three ball playing CBs to step up and play the ball higher up the field
