Missed that one ?Agreed, Aurier really deserves two starts given his form of late.
Sorry, he don`t have to, he`ll probably select Eriksen instead ;(Son being banned might be a blessing because you’d think now Mourinho will have to incorporate Lo Celso and Ndombele in the team maybe Sessegnon.
We need better control
Ah so Winks is the answer again now.
No matter who we played in CM against Chelsea, whatever combination, we would have still lost. Our CM options are fucking dreadful right now, ultimately.
If we don't bring in a top quality DM in January these results will continue to happen. It would be negligent to ignore this in January.
This.
Asking to pick any combination from Dier, Winks and Sissoko is a thankless task. Ndombele only solves half the problem.
Personally I would pick Lo Celso and Ndombele in there, it may be suicidal and GLC was poor against Bayern Munich but at least they are comfortable in possession technical players and can it really get any worse than playing those other three players?
The other team can't hurt you if they can't get the ball.
Ndombele in the future will solve half the problem - Ndombele who returned to training two days before the game, absolutely out of shape and clearly not match fit? Doesn't really solve anything.
I said it at the time, and I'll say it now - I would rather have seen Skipp play over Dier or Sissoko. As a worst case scenario at least he will gain experience and learn something from it. As a talent he isn't worse than Mason Mount, so why not?
You sure about that? On what basis? Mount is a big talent and proved it for a year in the Championship. Skipp is nowhere near that level.
Ndombele even half fit was instantly in 20 minutes yesterday far and away a million miles above Dier and Sissoko as a CM player. He solves half of the problem as long as he stays fit.
As a potential talent then. Is it Skipp's fault we had a manager who refused to send people out on loan?
Ndombele wouldn't have been able to do more than 20 minutes, probably. He literally returned to training on Friday. I agree though, if he gets himself in shape then he solves 50% of a problem. We need to bring in a Kante type player to fix the other 50%.
Then we can move on to solving our defensive issues, which are fairly huge too.
NO it isn't Skipp's fault, but it's also a huge leap to imagine he would take to the championship and PL so well and make such an impact as Mount has done. The overrating of our academy kids needs to slow down. Skipp will probably be as bang average as Winks is.
Agree with you on the bold bit, absolutely.
