I want us to go strong every game within reason. Obviously if there are lads with knocks and are shattered then given them a break.
many will disagree but there is so much to play for this season because every single win as a Spurs fan is so precious and as many of them as possible is so important .
I have no idea as to what positions mean what with regards to European positions but we should aiming to get as high up that bloody table as possible.

Agreed I want to see Scarlett. What has happened with Ajayi since his goal scoring debut? Pity Ange didn’t try and use his form to its potential.

I can largely get behind this.

Romero and Micky badly need some minutes under their belt now so give them 45 each and move Danso across to RCB to accommodate Micky at HT.

Tel needs a run out in his preferred position to at least give him a platform to showcase his talents but I also wouldn't be adverse to having him wide right and Moore deployed who Ange needs to feature much more in the League especially.

Bentancur obviously plays as he's suspended for the second leg and having Gray getting him readjusted to a CM role again is preferable.

Please for the love of God give Archie a go in midfield when we now have some fit CBs and don't be a stubborn old fool for a change Ange.

Vicario
Porro Romero VDV Spence
Archie Bentancur Maddison
Johnson Solanke Odobert

Can take one or both of Romero and VDV off after an hour for Danso and shift Archie back into defence.

Just try something a bit different for once.

Got to rest players for AZ so I'm going with

Kinsky
Porro Romero Danso Udogie
Sarr Bentancur
Maddison
Tel Scarlett Odobert

Subs
Austin Vicario VDV Spence Gray Bissouma Bergvall Son Johnson Tel Moore

This rests Spence, VDV, Bergvall, Bissouma, Son, Johnson, Solanke. Scarlett Tel Odobert Romero Maddison get gametime to find form.

We then use subs to give VDV Romero and Bissouma some minutes.

Then I start against AZ

Vicario
Porro Romero VDV/Danso Spence
Bissouma Maddison Bergvall
Tel Solanke Son
Updated to include Maddison and Romero

Is this the same Scarlett who couldn’t get a game for Oxford
I’d refer you to the impact Scarlett has made in the few minutes he’s been given for Tottenham Hotspur since returning from Oxford United. The young man deserves his chance in the absence of Dominic Solanke and because of the struggles of young Tel in front of goal.

Kane played a little more for us at the same age as Scarlett. But still wasn't established. Scored every fourth game for us, just like Scarlett has done in comparable season (1 in 4 games). Season before Kane sat on Leicester's bench in Championship and got ridiculed by their fans. Season after this in comparison Kane had his breakthrough season and took off.
I usually had to defend him up until that age as most thought he lacked talent and fitness.

He's probably not turning into Kane, but no one else thought that about Kane neither. He was given the opportunity though, which Scarlett up until now haven't.

Scarlett obviously is stronger than Tel and give a presence up front that a runner like Tel doesn't. 4 brief glimpses of Scarlett so far this season, minutes, one goal and one assist.

Vicario
Spence - Romero - VDV - Udogie
Bentancur - Gray
Johnson - Maddison - Odobert
Tel

Our likely best back 5 together, a rest for Bergvall and ideally a chance to see Gray in midfield. Johnson, Odobert and Tel need to find form.

Is Solanke out? Nobody seems to be picking him. Looked like a knee in the back.

Not confirmed. Even if he is ok not sure he will be risked from the off . Hopefully he will get some minutes In the 2nd half

Vicario
Spence Romero Danso Udogie
Gray Sarr
Tel Maddison Moore
Scarlett

I know Tel is maybe better off the left but Son and Brennan need dropping, not resting, dropping. I’d rather both Moore and Scarlett ahead of them.

Choosing a partner for Gray was painful but Sarr is the player that annoys me least out of him, Biss and Bentancur 😂

Bergvall unlucky to miss out but honestly think we need him fresh for Thursday he’s that important now.

Stubborn old fool is a bit strong for anyone to say that hasn’t watched a single second of training.

It's not a bit strong for anyone that has watched largely every minute of every game this season and watched Archie play football though.

Not in midfield though.
One can make judgement based on what they've seen from his skillset and characteristics though

We've had loads of posters suggest Romero should play DM without seeing him play there. Does that make them wrong?

I don't think Archie is really ready for the defensive responsibilities of midfield - those require different skills and positioning than any of the Defender positions. Asking him, now, after training all season as a defender would be asking a bit much.

On the ball - he would probably be fine - but without much training I'd be worried he would underestimate the amount of time he has on the ball - and be subject to being turned over.

Long-term - I think that ends up as his position, but not short-term.

Also this is his year-18 season - and, with 1155 minutes he has nearly double the league minutes of any other 18-yo - not to mention he has another 1470 minutes in other competitions this season. It would not be the worst thing to see him rested quite a bit to end this season, as the other CBs get healthy.

Maybe a few run-outs at CM off the bench - but we do need to consider his long-term health also.
