What team you hoping for then.

I'm going:

Gazza
Aurier Alder Sanchez Vert
Dier Ndombele
Dele
Moura Kane Son

As much as I'm hopeful to see our FB dynamic switched to the attacking left, I think Aurier doesn't deserve to be dropped so we will carry on as is but Vert can play that LCB in the 3 role. Think Dier will get an opportunity again in midfield and Ndombele will get his chance. I felt both Dier/Winks were doing poorly so only fair one gets hooked during the game and the other misses out from the start in the next one.

I'd like to get Lo Celso in for Moura sooner or later but I'm settling for 2 changes.

Subs: Austin, Foyth, Sess, Sissoko, Winks, Lo Celso, Eriksen

Same squad but I’d stick Sissoko in over Dier.

I'm hoping Jose does not give Dier another so soon run due to guilt, as he is a long way from his best and looks like he needs a pre-season type camp to lose some bulk and get pace and agility back. I have been a big advocate of his in the lead up to today's game but he was really bad tonight. I also thought Winks and Rose were jointly culpable for both their goals tonight, and that we can do better in both positions.

Gazza
Aurier Sanchez Toby Verts
Ndombele Lo Celso
Moura----Dele----Son
Kane

Subs: GK, Dier, Davies, Sessegnon, Sissoko, Winks, Eriksen
Also want to note that Eriksen was very good tonight. I have been a massive critic of his this season and been willing him to be frozen out totally. If he is not going to sign a new contract then I'd rather see Ndombele and Lo Celso start ahead of him. For a player to start regularly for me they have to be:

(a) Committed to the club
(b) Giving 100% on the pitch
(c) Not badly out of form.

Eriksen has been 0/3 for most of this season. Even 2/3 is not enough to start if others are matching 3/3 of that criteria. On tonight's showing he is back to 2/3, so I am happy for him to be involved as back up.

i don't think he'll change both deeper midfielders. we need to settle into a team. Verts makes sense at LB. i bet he goes with Dier and one of N'Domele or Winks (and i'll assume he goes with Winks).

Vertonghen and Ndombele are the changes, I don't think Dier should be dropped, he had to make a change tonight and Dier was the fall guy, he could have hauled off anyone else.

This team will eventually sort itself out in terms of who is good enough to start and who isn't.

Will fitness come into it? (And why is what essentially is A Poch squad so unfit)...might see a few changes for Saturday;

Verts for rose
Ndombele for Winks
Eriksen for Moura

also noticed Foyth didn’t make bench tonight...another fall guy for the regime change??

Too many good players. We had Vertonghen, sessegnon, sissoko, GLC, Eriksen and ndombele on the bench. Can't have too many complaints.

Dier cant play again after 2 disgusting performances... N’dombele for him if fit.

The rest is try to keep as similar as possible. I think it’s important for us to get a settled team. We could all probably nearly name the Liverpool, City, Leicester and Chelsea starting elevens....?

Guessing Verts will fill the role Davies' had against West Ham as the "3rd CB" and will send quality passes forward to Dele and the wingers. I also think Mou will give Dier a chance to redeem himself in this match. If he doesn't perform, he should be subbed off again and Skipp should get a chance as a CDM in our system. I'm currently not convinced that Ndombele and Winks would be enough of a shield in midfield. I'd love to see Parrott in the squad but Eriksen took his chance and doesn't deserve to be dropped from the squad (nor does anyone else listed). GLC needs minutes and I hope he's used as a substitute.

Time to play your 2 big record signings, Jose! (even though they wasn't yours)
Ndombele has to come in for Winks at least as he was poor yet again yesterday.
