We played Leipzig a few days before we played Chelsea whereas Chelsea had eight match free days to prepare .
Wolves play Espanyol on Thursday whilst we have had seven free days to prepare .
I think preparation time matters and not playing midweek matters and it may give us the edge over Wolves .
But if Wolves beat us it blows that theory out of the water or it shows the theory is correct but we are worse than I thought .
I think you're grasping at straws. Our performances have been poor for many reasons but an extra few days rest is way down on that list imo.

to all the fabulous people suggesting Lamela plays up front, I suggest you watch him take shots at goal more closely. My 4 year old kicks a ball with more venom!

best we can hope for is a full corona-quaranteen of the wolves squad and our game being postponed til april

just imagine Liverpool being handed the premier league trophy at Anfield in front of ........ well no one. Think I'll have a chuckle, even though I don't think this coronavirus is anything to laugh about

Scored a pretty decent goal at MCity earlier in the season, but they're rare, almost as rare as hen's teeth.

I just hope we finally stop with that 5 man defense. You can do that with top class Wing Backs that we obviously do not have. And you are always one man short in midfield/attack and I do not want to see Lucas and Dele dribbling hopeless into 8 defenders.

If I was new to premier football and not a trophyhunter Wolves would be my team of choice to follow as I enjoy their style of play .
I must say I can't remember the last time we beat Wolves and actually deserved it recent memory tells me we have had quite bit of luck against them even in the Poch reign . Quite jealous really watching their stuff every week .
My thoughts of more rest days than them was nothing but clutching at straws as I can only see them winning with what my eyes have seen in the last few weeks .

The travel makes difference, we'll just about beat them on Sunday. Had they not been on the Europa they'd probably of turned us over.

Thats the spirit.
Know how you feel though and you're probably right.
It's truly tragic isn't it. The mighty Tottenham Hotspur, are not favourites in pretty much all our games we go into. I simply can't see where a win let alone a goal is coming from! I think we have goals in the team, it's just the individuals are letting themselves and us down.

My XI :

Lloris
Aurier Toby Tanganga Davies
Gedson, LoCelso, Ndombele/Winks
Lucas Bergwijn Lamela/Dele

I will start Lamela & Ndombele (if fit) ahead of Winks & Dele. Also will start Gedson

Raul Jimenez, Neves, and Jota rested for Wolves in their Europa League match (Jimenez on bench). Traore and Podence playing.

Yes and no. Wolves were 4-0 up so they wouldn't have needed to use as much energy like they would if it was 0-0 or 1-0. They also got a full 90 minutes rest for players like Raul, Ruben Neves and Jota, with only half of their starters for today's game regulars for them in the PL I believe.

Games when you have 2 days rest will have an effect, just like how you approach a game where you're already 4-0 up I guess. Hard to say

Fine margins. We too have to make the bus trip to the stadium on match day. On current form that might edge it back in favour of Wolves...

The extra rest should help us but I can't see anything other than a Wolves win on Sunday to be honest.

Hope we play with this line-up but lets see:

Lloris

Aurier
Toby
Sanchez
Tanganga

Ndombele
Gedson
Lo-Celso

Bergweign
Dele (False 9)
Lucas

i'm a bit concerned that mourinho will not learn that without a proper target man we really should be trying to keep the ball more in the middle. If though i see a 433 setup on sunday then i'll be hopeful of a win, 3 midfielders and lucas and bergwijn on the ing with alli up top. Alli i think would play a great target man and can drop deeper if he needs to.

We need to play through midfield and keep the ball on the ground IMO. Ideally we'll get a chance to play the ball into space behind them instead of playing to feet when our front players are all struggling with first touch. We need fullbacks (or a fullback) who can contribute going forward as well IMO.
