I really hope we're up for this one, a repeat of last season's disaster would be horrible

It's going to be our lowest priority by far during that four match stretch, and rightly so. They on the other hand will be well up for it. Going to be very difficult.

West Ham must be delighted, once again they get to play their cup final without needing to get to the actual cup final.

The only frustration is we didn't get a walk over like arsenal and will have to play a resemblance of a strong squad to get past them. Shame really as like always, they'll raise their game against us.

If we're not gonna bother and be half hearted, might as well rest all 11.
No need to risk injuries if they're only gonna play at 50% and go out anyway.

They will best us if we don't show up.
They have no European football and will play a strong team. They'll be more up for this than any game to date this season.
Then there will be us, ambling about, boring, side to side passing, not penetrating.

Just fob it off. Stick all the/reserves out we can and give them nothing to brag about.

Yeah, would rather it be more or less one or the other to be honest. My problem is that when we don't play certain players or just make too many changes, it's like we lose any footballing identity and there's zero fluidity in our play. As strange as it sounds, we'd probably be better off playing Llorente and sticking long balls to him for supporting players to feed off than trying to play football with the likes of Sissoko on the pitch and a generally weakened team. At least that would provide some sort of strategy.

They are seemingly overconfident about this from the comments I’ve seen! Crazy really. West Ham fans calling us legends when it matters so we will lose this match and that they should be beating us anyway!

Hmmmm, are we not already 8 points clear of them already after just 7 games? Such a deluded bunch of twunts.

I agree but, tbf, they’ve just beaten UTD at home and got a decent draw at home against Chelsea the other day so they’ve showed good home form against the big sides. Naturally some of them are going to fancy themselves.

Tbh, I expect us to go through but I’m not exactly going to be shocked if they do us.

I won’t be shocked either, especially as Poch isn’t known for going all out in this competition but it’s the sense of superiority that surprises me with them. They never ever challenge for anything and have barely a trophy to their name in their history, yet they seem to talk at times like we’re the poor relations who struggle to compete with them!

We're not playing them in the league so the 8 point gap doesn't mean anything.
They will play as strong an 11 as they can put out and they know we won't.

They also came back from 2 down to win in the same fixture last season, and got a point in the league despite not leaving their own half.

They're also not getting beat every week at the moment like they were earlier in the season, just drew with Chelsea and beat Man United.
They've rarely had it this good. Of course they're confident.
