2 mins left . We are down 0-1. We get a penalty. We need a point for Europa. Up steps Ade. Is Tim's last decision to decisively sub him with Soldado ? Does he want EL or not ?
Unless AVB takes him on at Zenit, TS won't need to worry about european football next season.

Yes perhaps I should have said does he want it as his legacy ? Just trying to find some drama out of the inevitable anti climax by leaving him a final decision to make. I suspect he would leave Ade to take it.

Lloris
Walker Kaboul Chiriches Vertonghen
Sandro Paulinho Dembele Eriksen
Lamela
Soldado

Was arguably our likely best long term starting line up ( whether Vertonghen likes it or not he is our best LB until we sign a real one ) at the start of the season that was never given a chance to work. Including most of our new players and giving them time to gel. Never happened.

Now next week from the above team we will pobably only see Lloris, Chiriches and Eriksen.

Lloris
Naughton Chiriches Dawson Rose
Lennon Bentaleb Sigurdsson Eriksen
Kane Adebayor

Who would be suprised if Tim goes with that ? A team ( even allowing for real or imaginary injuries ) that featues less than £20 m of the £100m we spent last summer

I don't care as long as I don't have to ever witness a midfield that consists of Siggy, Paulinho and Lennon. Three absolute shocking performers

Not that I give the smallest shit but if Rose, Lennon and Paulinho are still in the starting line up next week then I may just explode with anger. I cannot wait for this clusterfuck of a season to be over, its been the stuff of nightmares at times.

Although I'm feeling meh about this game we should go with the strongest possible available for two reasons. Firstly, to ensure we finish above Man U as that hasn't happened in a long time. Secondly to ensure we get the last Europa league spot. I know there's some who feel that competition isn't worth a wank in a jamjar but to them I would quote Bill Nick - the club is nothing if we are not playing in Europe.

Personally I would go for.

Lloris
Naughton
Dawson
Chiriches (Verts if fit)
Fryers
Sandro
Dembele
Lennon
Eriksen
Chadli
Ade

Bit miffed having Lennon in but with Andros and Lamela out, I still prefer him to Siggy.
No Rose or Pauline.

i'm dumbfounded by the management of nabil bentaleb. credit to sherwood for bringing him into the squad and giving him exposure but i don't get how he's gone from starting every game without fail to not playing at all. sherwood claims he's "protecting" him and cited how moyes had managed januzaj(as if that's a good thing?) but i don't see how this is "protecting" him, what exactly is he "protecting" him from anyway? surely any stable minded coach would've introduced him into some easier games and steadily rewarded him with more playing time and kept him ticking along nicely, yet sherwood has gone from one extreme to another. the thing that makes this even stranger management to me is that it's not like we're currently lining up with sandro and dembele as our midfield partnership, it's paulinho and chadli, or paulinho and sigurdsson? i mean seriously, what's going on here?

Tim got his photos back after the agreed fee of ten games or so!

Ask Eddie.

He'll know.

Can anyone clarify if 6th gets European football. I was lead to believe regards of the FA winners Hull have already qualified.

Yep, it does!

Only runner up in FA Cup gets in, not league cup. As Man City won it and have already qualified for CL, it goes to 6th.

Half expecting a central midfield of Joan Collins and Kermit the Frog. It's the only pairing I can think of that is weaker in the tackle than the other line ups on offer of late. That 89 year old bloke who was on at half time in the Chelsea match would put in more of a shift than Adebayor too.
