So how do you deal with the total lack of width or pace? Congested midfield playing in front of the opposition instead of behind them. It's stupid. You need someone who is pacy, can either give width or support the striker and who will run past the striker. Lamela is the best option when fit, Chadli and Townsend can do the job for now.

Playing a central midfielder at RWF is enough to make me go outside and shoot myself in the fucking head. I might just do everyone a favour though and shoot Sherwood instead

I think he's better after he beats a man and is closer to the box as opposed to being deeper, beating a man and then hesitating and slow up the play more often than not.

He's not a long term solution to the problem but for now I would strongly entertain it. I'd certainly have him over Townsend or Lennon.

Personally I don't think he is the man - simple reason he feels no need to buy which worries me greatly but to work with players already --- this spurs team and first team squad are in the main bang average and for years have stood still as players - how can one coach the likes of rose naughton dawsonkaboul etc etc and make them bette , that's just a few players -- this spurs team lacks serious intelligence football wise and no coaching can fix that so a massive overhaul is needed imvho --- 5 or 6 first team players needed at a minimum let alone squad ones

The problem is the players have battled it out and put so much in to a system that simply doesn't work, time and time again. They're just mentally exhausted and broken from a Sisyphean task.

Keep everything together, get in a top manager, 2/3 players in, 2/3 players out and we'll be sorted

Verts, Chadli, Lamela, Holtby, Capoue, Eriksen, Soldado, Bentaleb and Adebayor are all have what I'd call 'footballing intelligence'. Walker makes up for a lack of it with sheer physicality and growing experience. Sandro the same. Add in a really good left back and maybe a CB and we're good. It's a decent core for the kind of football Van Gaal would want to play.

Reason we are where we are is cos the league is crap .. United will come back strong next year with big signings guarenteed to make them better -- Everton are better than us as well as the ones on top --- totally disagree that we have a really good squad -- so much average run of the mill players who are very similar and at in similar positions with no variety or match winner amongst them -- no character , no heart attitude or leadership qualities in it -- all this proven this year and yet u only want to add two -- the whole squad is lob sided and basically shit !!!!!
