I'm guessing that Vertonghen might miss the game because of his ankle.
Youve just done the team tht should of played at Anfield

Anyone notice that Ruben Lameiras features quit prominently in the team training photos. I know some of the U21's often train with the first team but i do wonder if he will be the next youth start to be given a shot by Tim.... After all he is probably going to try something new and i wouldn't be surprised if chose to include some of his fav youth team stars in the next few games.

I'd imagine because he's probably a better option that our other current options.

Probably roll with that myself as tbh.

Him, Eriksen, Bentaleb, Chadli and Sandro will end up standing on each others toes, well in front of the opposition defence and midfield who'll just be standing around cock in hand waiting to collect the ball out of row z. We'll have no pace and Naughton will get exposed by him tucking in.

We beat Newcastle in spite of him being on the right, not because he was on the right

Don't agree with you at all.

And like we've done well with pace down the right lately.

Dembele did pretty well on the right at Newcastle to.

They're going to be much more up for this game than we are -could be an embarrassing night if we don't start well

Because Lennon is not very good at football. Again...we beat Newcastle in spite of Dembele being on the right, not because he was on the right.

Eriksen --------------- Paulinho

Fryers ----- Vlad ----- Kaboul ----- Naughton

Subs: Friedel, Dawson, Bentaleb, Dembele, Siggy, Ade.

Youngster = Any youth player not on loan who knows the basics of passing and attacking.

What are you talking about? I didn't say we beat Newcastle because of Dembele's performance alone. I said he did quite well.

Reckon we should play Lennon and Townsend as RB and LB. They've been offering fuck all going forward and can't be worse than Naughton and Rose.

In all honesty, the only certainty with the team Tim will pick for Sunderland is it'll contain a hefty dose of WTAF.

He did alright against an absolute joke of a Newcastle side. That's no reason to keep wasting him out there.

It would be ever so nice if we just stopped playing people out of position.

I'd sooner put Dembele out on the right than Lennon or Townsend TBH, at least he carries some sort of threat out there.

Lloris

Naughton Kaboul Vertonghen Fryers

Chadli Dembele Sandro Erikesen

Adebayor

Soldado

That's a sweet line up if they're fit. Ade drifts left, Eriksen tucks in and Chadli pushes on to the forward line. Soldado drifts wide, Chadli tucks in and Eriksen pushes up to the forward line. One of Ade or Soldado drops short any of the wide players can push on. Defending two-banks of four: simple stuff.

He did better than any of the others have recently in that position, that's enough and that's the point.
