dont think i ever want to see Winks play alongside Sissoko at home again....

A bit of a generalisation maybe? I won't work out at all the games we have won with a Winks Sissoko combination but how about 3-0 at home to Dortmund for starters. You might have a point against teams that sit back with 10 behind the ball.

I agree with everything you say, but a man can but hope.

Yeah I'll be hoping too mate. Pretty sure it won't be Saturday we see that, but hopefully when lack of fitness isn't an issue for anyone we will. I also hope we'll at least see Son, Dele and Eriksen behind Kane. I think Lamela has done fairly well and Dele can frustrate me at times but at least with him we have more off the ball movement, which we often severely lack.

I know what you mean. Against teams that park the bus it just doesnt work imo. Works well against better opposition.
There's just no need to have 7 defensive players on the pitch against bus parking teams.
Id try this. If Alli is fit he replaces Lamela.
Against BPs we need creative ball players not safety first dms. They slow us down to the stodge we saw last home game.

Lloris
Kwp Toby Verts Rose
Sissoko
Moura Lamela Erikson Son
Kane
Might not work but what we saw against Newcastle didn't work so ...

I personally don’t think it was the players at Newcastle it was the system. Rose and Kwp was so high up the pitch it squeezed all the space and they’re was no gaps to run into or be in between the lines. Needed to make the area of play bigger and then get into the lines.

Did anyone watch the whole of the United/Palace game (not just MOTD highlights)? How did Woy set Palace out? Was it purely defend, defend, defend, counter, or did they have a bit more game about them? Possession and shooting stats say United had the better, but they can be misleading.

United dominated but created nothing. Palace were soaking it up and trying to hit them on the counter.

I think the game against us will be pretty much a copy so I hope we can change the outcome.

Hope we go 433 and get as many forward tbh
I'd go with this:

Lloris
KWP Toby Jan Davies
Winks
Ndombele eriksen
Alli Kane Son

Great, another Newcastle repeat incoming.

It's boring as shit to watch but it obviously works against teams like us and United who haven't shown any kind of Plan B so far this season.

Looks like Sanchez/Foyth aren't too far away from being fit and we'll only have Lo Celso out which all things considered isn't too bad going.

Not good news regarding Sanchez what with Foyth already being out & games coming thick and fast, Jan & Toby aren't getting any younger so we cant expect them to play every single game in this busy period
