A lot of things initially are said in jest...Praying that Ndombele is fit. I knew when he missed the Newcastle game with a “minor” thigh injury that we wouldn’t see him again until January....... only half joking there.

Lloris
Aurier-----Toby--Jan----Davies
Ndombele Lo Celso
Son------Eriksen-----Dele
Kane
They are the water carriers in the side.....Eriksen and Son to provide the spark and hopefully some width coming from the full backs.....If Palace sit particularly deep may even go three at the back and play the two as wing backsYou really want to see Sissoko & Winks again against a packed box?
Ndombele and Lo Celso as our two engine room midfielders image would result in us getting raped by Palace.
Just because they’re defensive doesn’t mean we have to go in Ossis-style against them lol.
Lo Celso won't make it, Poch has been easing him in as it is & with this injury now theres even more reason for precaution
As made by evidence vs Newcastle, its completely unneccessary and actually unproductive to have both on the field in games like this. They are the water carriers in the side.....Eriksen and Son to provide the spark and hopefully some width coming from the full backs.....If Palace sit particularly deep may even go three at the back and play the two as wing backs
That's why you could even go three at the back sacrificing one in the back four for the width. Nothing in the form of Sissoko or Winks suggests they need dropping....it has been the lack of subtlety further forward that has cost usAs made by evidence vs Newcastle, its completely unneccessary and actually unproductive to have both on the field in games like this.
Would anyone object if I were to politely request that this sort of metaphor be consigned to the bin?
Moura must be wondering what he has to do to get a start. Against a defensive side who are likely to shut up shop, sideways passing and lumbering about looking for an opening won't work. Palace are a good side and Moura, along with Son adds that extra bit of pace to break open that sort of stubborn set up. Ball played to his feet at pace and Eriksen will have a shooting gallery for the fouls he will draw. Not played to him in static positions. At pace to his feet.
This means Eriksen has to start. Since he has a brain. Lamela isn't the right fit for me and sissoko will add nothing going forward.
Lloris
'Someone healthy' Toby Verts Rose
Winks Ndombele (hopefully fit)
Moura Eriksen Son
Kane
Didn’t moura start with son and Kane against Newcastle and did the square root of bugger all?
Neither would you if the ball was played at a snails pace to your feet with 11 barcodes behind the ball! Hes got to be used to his strengths. Put in with pace.
The cm was the biggest problem as there was, as often, no transitional play to the forwards.
Which will be the case against Palace...
So use his skill set properly! Which is perfect for breaking up stubborn teams and drawing fouls etc.
Dunno, we just need to play our best team which includes our 4 forwards Dele, Eriksen, Son and Kane. When they normally play together we win, we're not running a nursery here.
Edited previous post a bit. Not sure Dele is fully upto speed yet? I was going onto he assumption he was a little way off starting a game? But I'd agree that's the best attack in terms of results. Hes great at making space.
Don’t care - it’s still the team is like to see against Palace. Plus by all accounts he’s not injured.
