I am not really convinced as only Wanyama and maybe the back four have some form. The alternatives haven't really shown more promise tonight though.

If Kane isn't back then I'd continue with Son

Janssen will get zero from brutes like Huth but son is more likely to catch him out

Ultimately need Eriksen and Lamela to get back on form, they are the key

Is Toby back? If not, i'd consider playing CCV here. Dier hasn't been great in relief for him and was pretty poor today in DM to be honest where CCV was good IMO.

Lloris
Walker Toby Verts Rose
Wanyama Dembele
Lamela Alli Son
Kane

Vorm, CCV, Trippier, Dier, Winks, Eriksen, Janssen

I know this goes against Poch's whole left footed defender, right footed defender thing but Wimmer and Davies were absolutely abysmal today where as the right side of the back 4 was good. If Toby is back, maybe leave CCV out, and put N'Koudou on the bench for some pace as Dier can be CB cover as well.

If Kane is not fit then idk. Im out on that one. I am so tired of Eriksen in the team that i dont want to put Son up top with Eriksen in the XI and Janssen is just too slow and not fit enough to start IMO. Maybe a 433 with Son up top, Winks in CM and Alli moved left?

Decision to be made on whether Son play up front or the left,
and if on the left who to drop of Eriksen and Dele Alli.
Lamela and Sissoko compete for the role on the right in my opinion, Son have never looked good there.
WIth Sissoko out Lamela should start, he was good against Liverpool too.
Rest of the team gives itself fitness depending.

4 games without a win, really need to smash Leicester

I'd put out our strongest available side.

We need to use the best available players for our remaining EPL games. We also need to play our best team for the remaining CL games if its required for us to qualify for the knock out stages. If we are already through to the k/o stages after our 5th group game, then we can consider using the youth / second stringers for the last group game.

Toby back in if fit. For me it's a choice between Janssen or Lamela.
Both would be out if everyone was available. Think we have to persevere with Janssen at present. I'd go...

Lloris; Walker, Alderweireld(Dier), Vertonghen, Rose; Wanyama, Dembele; Son, Alli, Eriksen; Janssen

The manager needs to completely forget about the Man City game for starters. We can't play Son up front on his own or press from the front particularly like we did in that game. It was a one off.

We looked so much better with a striker up top (kane/Janssen) and with Son on the left drifting inside to support the striker. We saw it against Bournemouth, Leverkusen and last night. The central striker is too isolated. Son is good at coming inside and taking up spaces in the box almost becoming the second striker at times.

We need to revert to this and the goals will come.
