It would be great if you actually knew that Winks and Sissoko were both fit to play but somehow I don't think that's the case. I suspect, at best, one of them may be on the bench with an eye on Saturday and the CLSF.

Dier or wanyama for skipp. I know they are just coming back for injuries but think these games are too important.

Needs to be our strongest side minus those carrying injuries. If Poch plays with 3 CBs I will be very annoyed as Brighton will Park the bus.

Lloris
Trippier Toby Verts Rose
Dier* Winks**
Moura Eriksen Dele
Son

* Needs another hour under his belt. I’d bring Wanyama on after 60 mins to also keep increasing his fitness and sharpness.
** Winks - if fit he also needs an hour to start his return to match fitness. Winks and Sissoko are so important for the CL games.

I think we need to play our strongest available side for the next three games - Brighton, Spam & Ajax (home leg).

If by then, our top four status is secured, we can rest some players for the Bournemouth game to keep them fresh for Ajax (away leg).

Ideally we would rest Eriksen and Vertonghen, who've both played all of the last 4 matches, though we can only do this if Lamela is fit enough for the bench

Trippier - Alderweireld - Sanchez - Rose
Dier - Wanyama
Lucas - Deli - Son
Llorente

Foyth, KWP, Davies, Skipp, Lamela, Janssen

Not sure if Lloris is fit, I'd give him a few more days to recover for the bigger matches.

I expect Trippier to play given that he didn't at the weekend, but I assume he will also play this weekend and then CL game next midweek, so for this one I'd leave him out again and it's a good game to give KWP more experience.

Think he will rest one of the centre backs, it's usually Toby although Jan has played more recently.

Neither Wanyama or Dier look fully up to speed, but big Vic has looked less rusty so gets the start.

Now we hit problems. I'd like to rest Eriksen, but that isn't really possible with injuries. Alli looked completely shagged at the weekend, but also has to go again really.

The front three I think picks itself. For me, Llorente starts all the league games we have left as presence up front and occupying defenders.

Yep I was considering putting Skipp in there, or starting Lamela and dropping Dele back.
Ultimately preferred them as a pair to starting 3 CBs.

Why would we need to play 3 at the back, just leaves us one short in their half ? Brighton will play one up top and just sit back.

To be fair we beat Bournemouth 5-0 with 2 centre backs so is that a case to play with that formation ?
