We just have to hope this doesn't becoming a recurring issue during the season, so early into his spurs career & picking up an injury in training is unfortunate to say the least
Especially after his goal against Villa would have given his confidence a boost. Most likely it's just his body adjusting to PL intensity.

This season couldn't have started much worse could it?

Once we signed him I was hoping that he wouldn't get injured because I knew then our CM would be straight back to the weak thing it was last season, and here we are.

Hopefully Lo Celso can make a contribution otherwise I can only see AVB Part II tactics.
532 and catch them on the break like we did with Liverpool at Wembley a couple of years ago. Got to Son and Kane up top, with Eriksen, Winks and Dele/Dier in the middle. But injuries will probably screw us over again

I've been meaning to say all week, but Ndombele immediately picking up an injury was pretty much a nailed on certainty.

Guy clearly struggling with the intensity in pre-season, whether the training at Lyon is well below our standards, he didn't look after himself over the summer, or both, it looked a massive culture shock and he struggled to play at any prolonged spell of intensity and was often cooked after 15-20 minutes of a half. He also had to be excused from one of the back to back games, the only one in the squad to do that, because he was obviously not in the condition to do it.

A training injury was pretty inevitable as his body adapts to what is now being asked of him, not sure pitching him into PL games and doing 90 minutes from the off was a smart strategy either to be quite honest.... But too late now.

I pressed like before realising Lucas Moura in place of Kane. Nice team, good balance, but why Moura over Kane? Seems a strange choice
It's two-folded. One is because I sincerely think that the team would benefit from springing a few surprises on the other big teams and not be too predictable. We also know that we don't HAVE to play Kane to win. I think that a few players are picked too often and never at all rotated as long as they have two legs to walk on, and I dislike this strategy. The other reason is because I wanted to be a wee bit controversial. ;)

Sure it could, we could be with zero points right now and with a dressing room revolt ala chelsea under Mourinho/Conte/Sarri. Things are not that bad.

Fair play I can now see your point and do agree we need to mix things up a bit as we have become incredibly predictable recently. One thing I think you can’t fail to take into consideration though, is Kane’s record in this fixture.. if there’s been one game he turns up for in the past it’s this one!

N'Dombele being out is going to be a setback, just have to hope those that play are up for it.

where does it say hes out

Been left out of French squad so seems that way. Saying that Dele should be on the bench Sunday and left out of England duty. But I don't think we'll see Tanguy until after break ?

My XI :
I am not willing to risk Dele as a starter. I am hoping Poch starts Jan & Eriksen.

Lloris
Dier, Toby, Jan, Rose
Sissoko,Winks,
Moura, Eriksen, Son,
Kane

If Dier isnt fit enough, I would start Sissoko at RB.
We may be bit more open with this lineup. But If Lo Celso is upto speed to his natural play then he could provide some solidity at CM given he can tackle and play defensive midfield

Lloris,
Sissoko,Toby, Jan, Rose
Lo Celso,Winks,Eriksen,
Moura,Kane,Son
