Yeah this is going to a tough one.

At our best we'd best them, but we're so hit & miss it's hard to call.

Really hope Romero makes it.

We're good at home so we're still favourites.

If Son is still out then I would start Werner. Dare I say it, but his running in behind will be a great way hurting Emery's ultra high line.

Madders 0 minutes against City and vice captain. I think he will start along with Sarr who was rested second half and is in form and Bissouma, with Deki on early second half for impact. Suspect Richi up front for Solanke given how much the latter ran himself into the ground.

You win a championship, or if not, achieve your league position, with a squad, not a team, unless you fluke an injury free season and drop out cups early like Leicester did. Ange wants to compete on all fronts and develop the whole squad so has to put faith in those that come in.

Kulusevski is starting all day long.

If we need to start with Radu and Davies maybe that will be enough to stop some of the ridiculous pissing about at the back. I live in hope.

There is a decent case to start Werner if Son isn’t fit. Villa will have a go and leave space in behind. And it's good man management to reward him for arguably being our best player mid week. Romero hasn't been great recently and for this i'd keep him wrapped in cotton wool whilst Micky won't be back for a few.

Vicario
Porro Dragusin Davies Udogie
Bissouma
Kulusevski ---- Sarr
Johnson ------------- Son/Timo
Solanke
Forster, Archie, Romero/Dorrington, Spence/Reguilon, Bentancur, Maddison, Moore, Son/Timo, Richarlison
If we go a goal down and they start sitting in there are plenty of options we can deploy to change it. If Spence is fit, Udogie should be hooked by 60 mins regardless of the game state.

This is more about tactics though for me rather than team selection. If it's Davies and Radu at the back then be a bit smarter and drop the line a tad. Keep playing in the inside forwards with the space they'll leave. We can win this, but only if we play it smart.

if no Cuti, then Davies as much as I don’t think he’s suited. It will be interesting to see how Maddison reacts should he be ‘dropped’
