I don't know enough about our youth set up, but I would much rather have players in their natural positions. Though Ibrox is probably an insane place to give someone their first start, but still. Surely he is a better fit there than Gray, who can then play in his actual position in midfield.

With Bentancur and Bissouma suspended in the league, I would be amazed to see Gray in midfield.

More likely start him at RB and rest Porro.

Is their League Cup final always held before the turn of the year? Seems bizarre.

Used to be March, but changed to November in 2016! Has then been held alternately in December or February. I have no idea of the rationale behind this.

Based on what has been said about his ability, no (Austin's that is). There's a reason he's been at the club but rarely if ever played a competitive first team game!

I think Ange's comments implied that he is available - based on his comments about Romero and VdV being the only injuries from Chelsea match.

How are the injuries?

Not much better to be fair… obviously with the weekend’s fall-out Romero and Van De Ven, we’re still getting some clarity around their prognosis, but both have picked up injuries that will keep them out again.

That’s disappointing for us because we’re thin on numbers but we’ve had to deal with that for quite a while now. Everyone else from the weekend got through OK. Bentancur is obviously available so at least we get him back.
