Porro looked knackered yesterday if Spence can’t start now then when can he?

Vicario
Spence Romero Davies Udogie
Bentancur
Sarr —— Kulusevski
Johnson ———————- Son
Solanke

Forster, Porro, Radu, Davies, Bissouma, Maddison, Gray, Moore, Lankshear/Werner

Looks good that.

Vicario, Udogie, Bentancur, Sarr, Deki, Johnson, Son and Solanke should be safe bets.

Add one of Spence/ Porro and two of Romero/ Dragusin/ Davies. I'd go with Spence, Romero and Dragusin.

Radu had a bad game yesterday, but we should give him time to settle with a few games in a row as long as Mickey is out.

No Moore again is disappointing to have off the bench but I wonder if once again Luca Williams-Barnett will be included in the matchday squad and possibly get a chance to get some minutes?

Doesn’t sound too optimistic re Romero. I’ll have a bad feeling about this game if he’s missing, especially with Radu’s confidence low and a lack of options off the bench.

Mental that we have 5 options to play LW and they've all spent time out injured already, are nursing something still, or currently crocked and we're only in November.

Doubt it , LWB has only just passed 16 years old and physically nowhere Moore levels , if we need to fill the bench might as well put Reguillon or Dorrington on there.
LWB is a prospect for the future , think putting in the Europa squad was to give him the experience of being in the matchday squad as we needed to put some bodies on the bench.

Even though all over the place last night, Radu had a decent game against Villa so gets in. If Romero out then it's Radu & Davies again

Thought the opposite. Sounds promising for Romero

Apart from selecting Davies twice, this is spot on imo.

I think where you get unlucky with that is the first couple of injuries in the same position. Once you have that it makes it more likely others start to break down from having to overplay to cover their absence.

I also think over the years the poor depth has also exacerbated the problem as the manager doesn’t trust those guys enough and overplays the first team lads.

Really hope Spence is ready. Would be an excellent game for him to start in his natural position if fully fit.
Totally agreed. Porro looked absolutely knackered at the end of the match. I know he'll have a few days rest, but I would start Spence with a fresh Udogie for balance. Bring on Porro/Gray for the last 20-30 if neeeded.

I'd be going for Dragusin, I understand the calls for Davies, but I feel he needs to get back on the pitch and sort it out.

If we are going to rest Porro (needs a rest) it might be better to put Gray there considering Spences fitness.

I'd also be tempted to go for a Bissouma Bentancur midfield paring but I expect Sarr.

After Sons performance I wouldn't mind giving Richalrison, Odebert or even Werner/Moore a starting place, but as they're all injured Son starts.

Rest of the team picks itself.

From memory the Biss/Bentancur combination didn’t work well last season, possibly because there’s not enough running. Sarr offers a unique skill set in his ability to cover the ground quickly and set the press.

I agree, but I still think they are both currently better players than Sarr. I'd try and make it work (especially against better teams)
