Reguilon for Porro and Spence to right back. It has to be done. Whatever the reasons for it - either he's been run into the ground and can't think straight, OR Ange is ordering him to rush out of position at every available opportunity no matter what the game situation is, OR we've found his real level as an actual defender which is basically very bad - he is currently the single biggest issue in the side. Every single team we play have a game plan to target our right back position; and it works. He's never there. He rushes out of position for absolutely no reason, all the time. He needs to be taken out of the side for his and our good. Reguilon isn't great but he is an actual left back (also could bring Davo in there but to me he's not a viable full back any longer). And most of all let Spence have a go in his natural position. He could well win us the game from there.

If Davies is fit I'd be tempted to start him, but we can't afford to have what happened to Romero and Micky happen again. If he does play it probably won't be for a full 90.

I'd love to see Gray in midfield, probably with Bergvall and Deki. Its an incredibly young midfield, but it might be our best.

If you are Ange - are you trusting Reguilon to save your job?

I am not.
I hear you and I know you're going on the premise that he's on a game by game basis for job security so there is obviously the temptation to just go deemed full strength.

I just think Hoffenheim is of equal importance to that of Everton so coupled with the obvious defensive absentees Ange will surely have to weigh up the merits of deploying Reggie now to save Porro or Davies midweek.

No easy choices here and don't envy Ange.

After Ange’s update:

Kinsky

Porro
Dragusin
Davies
Spence

Gray
Bergvall
Maddison

Moore
Solanke
Richarlison

If Davies isn’t fit to start then Gray back into defence and Sarr in midfield. Feel Deki is desperate for a rest. If Richy has even got a half in him so Son can have a break as well.

Biggest game of your manager's time at the club, squad already on it's knees and you're a doubt because you're 'sore'.

Mentality of some of these players summed up for me.

Why are people putting Reggie in? Is Porro injured? Even if he's tired, Porro is still better

It was Bissouma that was a doubt not Sarr unless he's also unavailable.

Probably have Luca Williams-Barnett on the bench but not that he'll likely see game time.
Thanks for correction, Willimas-Barnett would sum up outfield players very unlikely to feature to 4 ie. half ot them (Hardy, Olusesi, Williams-Barnett and Lankshear close to category too). Only Moore, Porro, Sarr and Richarlison as some that might actually play.

Bissouma has a sore ego from midweek...

I wouldn't start Davies just yet, give him half an hour. I know we're all desperate to see Archie in the middle but we need Davies and shouldn't rush him like we did Romero and VDV.

Given how dead on their feet Pedro, Sonny, Deki and Dom looked against Arsenal, I’d rotate heavily and use them as impact subs:
Kinsky
Spence Dragusin Davies Reguilon
Bergvall Gray Maddison
Johnson Richarlison Moore

If Brennan is not fit then I’d start Deki, as I want to see Mikey on the left.

Get Davo in, move Archie into midfield. Archie and Bergvall starting in midfield is like when Thanos got the first two infinity stones. (Ange as Thanos obviously)

Son and Johnson should not start for us but I am sure Son will be picked to entertain the Korean tourists

Don't think we should be down on people who pay to watch us. They would come to watch Sonny on the bench.
Son starts as we hope he is not going to be ineffective. If he is then should sub sooner rather than later

I would like to see that. Kulusevski was great first part of the season but in last games he is just poor. I don't put X on him but he should be rested. Same for Son. Porro was poor all season TBH so if we want to change how the season is going we need to finally drop players that undeperform constantly. Will Reguilon Play better? I dont know, but I know Porro is poor so please just try something different.

At the back we need stability until we have VDV and Romero back... also because we have a new keeper... the more we change players (forced to do it), the more it disrupts the communication and automatics... we need flow.

So if Davies is 100% fit and ready... I would only throw him in central defence if he's been able to practice enough with Kinsky, Dragusin etc... if that's not the case, then maybe he could play on the left... and Spence on the right instead of Porro...and keep Gray in central defence for the Everton game.

If Davies is ready and fully prepared, then of course he should play CB instead of Gray... but Gray has to play. He's in top form and becoming very important already.
