Honestly it's hard to place much faith in any of them at the minute. Even against citys 2nd string best we can probably hope for a close match so we don't get embarrassed ahead of a big league match on Sunday.

Not just for this game but I’d like to see both Bentancour and Bissouma play with Kulu with one of them as an 8. It might help solidify the midfield a bit.

Whatever team we put out it's going to be tough but we only got beat by a very scrappy goal in the FA cup last season but seeing how Ange insists on playing out from the back I'm sure we will give them planty of chances.
On the bright side close to being a sell out , something like 5,000 tickets available last week but now down to a few hundred.

And that's with City not taking their full entitlement - a team with little true support

Yes, good turn out for a terrible KO time , especially if it goes to penalties.
I think the fact it’s half term this week has meant a lot of families will be attending, so timing wise it was a massive plus for the club in terms of ticket sales.

What's the alternative? We have 3 unfit players who have played LW for us, and Moore wont play 3 in a row. no chance Ange changes formation if he has Werner available.
Werner did well when he came on against Palace. His pace, ability to stretch that space and keep our shape are valuable. Just hope the chances fall to someone else other than him or Richy.

If Ange dares puts a side out resembling Coventry away......

Doesn't matter if team delivers, hard to pick this one without knowing how City will set up. Might be very, very 2nd string City, but that's not guarateed. They've lot of injuries and even failed to fill the bench on couple of last ones and this one is low on their priorities. Should they go more with U21, then team resembling Coventry away should be enough. Then again, no guarantees on that one.

Go strong, anything else is giving it up to City. The league is a long slog and we won't win it so to give up a chance of a cup without a fight just doesn't sit right with me.

It's the unequivocal message sent out that this competition is low on priorities whereas that absolutely shouldn't be the case.

So no Odobert and no Son. I was surprised Moore had two starts in such short order so I really can't see him getting a third - but who knows.

Werner and Johnson on the wings then I guess. We don’t have any other options.

Or I guess we can put Kulu back out wide and move Johnson over to the left. Not ideal but we are clearly short.

You would think it has to be Werner starting on the left with Odobert injured again and Son out. I can't see Moore starting 3 games in a week.

Agree on the scrappy goal but we barely mustered a chance in that game .........

Congrats,to Rodri brilliant player, not too sad he's,missing for this though

And of course I hate everything they stand for- thinking they make the rules

But they do at least serve a purpose till Woolwich turn to shit again

Couldn't find a let's all laugh at RM thread. They might be even worse. Different type of entitlement. Fkin hilarious

PS think their bench and kids will be marginally better than ours unfortunately but you never know in a one off game

Any mention of Son being back for Villa?

(We'll not beat them without him imo)

I think he said that we are '....quite confident he will be fit for the weekend'.

Suppose there's an outside chance he'll be on the bench tomorrow. Might be playing it a bit cool with the information.
